The Oilers didn't actually make the playoffs last year; just like the Leafs. He also had three points last night, all secondary assists, two of which he didn't do anything on.

Which, considering his regular season production of 1.41 points per game, is pretty garbage.

A guy like MacKinnon who averages just under a point per game across his career in the regular season, averages 1.46 points per game in real playoff games, he had 22 points in 12 games last year, only 4 of which were secondary assists. I'm not saying MacKinnon is better, but it is curious that McDavid doesn't up his game in the playoffs as of yet.

The heavy game makes his speed practically useless, needless to say the Oilers organization has continuously failed at surrounding him with the proper grit for McDavid to maximize his use in playoffs.

All the moves made McDavids rookie year destroyed the franchise ie same with Murray and Eichel.

Both have one thing in common, micromanaging owners.
