Are you from NY? No. I already knew you’d come at me. Relax, have a piece of cheese and some wine.

Scenario's very different.
- manvanfan

Kinda just seems like you prefer one player to the other. Either way, agree to disagree on the repeat offenders front. I know big bad Panarin needed the extra body slam and Wilson was just defending himself

JV was a reactionary pick. It was also a stupid pick. Why not pick the best players available instead of an 18!year old that profiles your biggest need.
- golfingsince

Hard to ignore a big, fast, physical, shooter who can score goals. There has always been a bit of an question with players that score quite a bit more goals than have assists. JV was one of the youngest players in the draft as well.

If FA didn't (frank) that up, Canucks could of had Larkin. I wonder if JB would have picked Goldy instead of McCann then.

I don't give a poop about either of them.

That's a pretty damn dumb thing to think honestly.

Long-time Los Angeles Kings executive Jeff Solomon has joined his former team’s most bitter rival. The Anaheim Ducks have formally announced Solomon as their new Assistant General Manager and Vice President of Hockey Operations. He fills the position left behind by the recently-retired David McNab.

Yeah, big (frank) up by FA. I’m just glad we can have that in the vault anytime we want to criticize the GM.

Why even post about draft eligible players when we should just be happy with whoever we drafted, regardless of who becomes a better player.

It’s also really too bad FA (frank)ed up any bad pick MG ever made. Too bad , could of had a dynasty

Seriously, you call JB a great drafter.

I barely pay attention to the draft anymore but I would have drafted Nylander and Chychrun in his first two years.

Some would have drafted Ehlers and Tkachuk,

How great a drafter is he if he's batting worse than guys on here?

Maybe we keep him around for his FA signings and trades?

Again, what's the point of making your draft lists and everyone having input about who we should draft if we can't compare it to the current GM?

Don't bring up MG, his two top 10 draft picks netted us Horvat and Hodgson, who despite the back injury is better than top 6 pick JV and likely Juolevi who I defended for years.

Even with Horvat, people didn't stop female doging about that trade until well after MG was gone.

Then again, this isn't about MG it's about Benning an how poopty our team is after 7 years.

Nylander is havin himself quote the series. Definitely been one of the better leafs in this series. Still plenty of time for them to blow it though

Soft perimeter that will be exposed against the American playoff teams.

Would rather have the cap space.

I can’t wait until Benning compares a prospect to Brendan Gaunce. “He’s a guy who can go to the net, have pucks go off his ass. We think he’ll give a hundred games or so of low event 4th line action.

You mean doesn't compare him to.... then mentions Gaunce?

I don't get it. Oh man we keep picking top 10 and getting prospects!!!!

We didn't get prospects like this when we were one of the best teams in the league!!!!!

Hey Nuck4U, you need to speak in english. Enough of the riddles.

Does Nylander have 3 goals this series? Does JV have 2 in his career? Are you not the guy that's been defending JV for years?

I'm not sure why you decided to go after Nylander for scoring a 3rd goal this series. I just pointed out he was my guy, just like Nucker and DTC had Ehlers.

Your guy is on house arrest.

- golfingsince

you sure are one confused puppy. Sorry sophisticated sarcasm is hard for you. I'm Nuckup and JV is not my guy. But the time I've been on I noticed Ruby liked him a bit. I did see some value like Nucker said he provided secondary scoring. Every Canuck fan wanted more.

Good to know you're an out of the closet Leaf lover. First praising Mathews and dissing Petey. Now revealing how into Nylander you always were.

Yeah i'm a closet Leaf fan, that's why i'm so popular on their thread. If you can't see that Matthews is head and shoulders about Petey I don't know what to say.

Even this year you blamed the coaching on JV's lack of development, we all saw it. Yes, I wanted to draft Nylander. It's too bad both players proved me wrong in my evaluations.

Congrats on cherry picking two drafts. Don't take yourself so seriously and just enjoy watching prospects and you might not be so sour about things.

I have no idea why you feel the need to compare yourself to an NHL GM.

It's just a hobby for me, I enjoy hockey. I make my lists just to look back on over the years to see how I did, they really mean nothing.

that's 0-3! Sorry no coaching blame. Liked how Petey and Hogs were given opportunities.

Petey is younger and not a head below in prime Mathews though they are different style of players. But love your Leafs all you want.
