I don’t agree with some of what trotz is doing some of which I think is having a negative effect on this series but I still think he’s a great coach. With that said I imagine we will have the same lineup with maybe Sorokin in net. Maybe not. Team is still in it with the current lineup and like I said tough to start juggling lines now. Kind of is what it is.

I think that’s every coach though. Trotz is def one of the best in the league. Ppl say sully is pretty good. All we do is nitpick every decision he makes and wonder why he isn’t on the same page as us. If either coaches ran a team like I’ve ran a peewee team, boy I tell y’a, the amount of cups they would have 😂

Islanders tried to turn it into a street fight. Officiating allowed it to happen. The Penguins weren’t perfect but rose above it and found a way. Speaks highly of their character.

This guy is a (frank)ing ham bone obviously but we need to come out swinging today. Can’t have our usual slow start have to bang bodies and capitalize on the Malkin line with last change. Get it done.

Most of us on here play/played though some on here must have played for better beer leagues because they know more then everyone else and tell us that all of the time.

Just caught up lol. This is the most accurate post I've ever seen. Also, the only known in hockey is that...all roads lead to beer league eventually.

Boston took control in a hurry. I was hoping that series would go to 7 games with multiple OTs per game.

Yeah. That's disappointing. I think that most teams thought the Caps would be the easiest out in the Metr...I mean East division? But, not that easy. The Pens and Isles are most likely in for a long fight this series. So, a rested Bruins team is not ideal. Hopefully the winner hear just becomes sharper because of the series.

I agree. He has some good takes, but he comes off sounding very much like a "homer" with some stuff. The Islanders are a more physical team. The Pens are the faster team with the "elite" players. (As far as the way they're looked at). And, any team that has a chance to rattle the opposing goaltender is going to do it. It makes sense to go hard at him and make the Pens get into those scrums...ESPECIALLY the top line and top pairing.

The Isles do have to come out of the gate harder though.

Caps blew games 2 and 3 by giving up the tying goal with 3 minutes or so left and lost in ot. Game 3 double ot loss was a killer with the miscommunication between samsonov and niskinen

What I saw Thursday, despite the fact we lost, was an exciting game, especially the 3rd period. If you don’t think both teams were physical, you shouldn’t be a reporter, you should be writing a blog.

I had the Isles in 6. Part of me still wants to believe it can be done. However, if they loose today, it will be over in 5. It will prove that the Isles have no answer for the Pens this year.

Isles need to get lead and hold it.
Who will start in goal? I go with Sorokin. Yes, I know it is a critical game.

We live in a world where toughness is viewed as bullying and caveman like intelligence. It was okay that Getzel cheap shot Clutter on way to Penalty box. Or whatever tools name was that pushed Dobson into the crossbar. If that was Crosby and not Dobson. that would have been a major and the player suspended.

I am not saying that the islanders play dictates a different outcome but the officiating has clearly favored the Pens and Crosby. Almost like the NHL is scripting it.
