Hornet update.

Looks like Fake was right. After “Karen” settled down, we were able to get a good look at it. I searched the Google box and it def looks like a large European Hornet, we assume it’s a queen because of the size and the abdomen is long. She taps out at 1.6”. So crisis averted. Sorry for the false alarm, but I was excited for a sec. Here’s a photo I found of a European Hornet vs a yellow jacket. We took photos of Karen, but she’s buzzing around in a mason jar, so not the best. We put a quarter in the jar, and she started lifting it up with her mandibles...frank me. Kill it or let it go?

I’m a little sad, my daughter just renamed it Stacey. I showed my next door neighbour- he didn’t think it was real until it started buzzing around. He mentioned it to someone, now the whole neighbourhood is coming over to see it. Kids freaking love Stacey. Parents are OMG they’re flying around here?
