We should probably just hand the cup to the Blues..Those guys know how to win. Colorado is full of bums who have never won. - Santo_44
the rules are hard to follow, do the Avs have any players what have won a cup?
they might be in trouble if not

That's my take too...
Habs are going to load up with players that hit and play hard to try to intimidate our soft stars. Then when they get nice and flinch-y catching glimpses of their own shadows Habs will put the talent back in for the win.
It's a good strategy.
All the games I've watched so far are really physical, lots of great hits and players finishing their checks and even a lot of late hitting.
Not gonna lie, that makes me concerned for the Leafs. Most of them are so trained to do lame ass fly bys....makes us easy to play against because the other team is never rushed....no one hits them.
Hopefully, the Hyman, Foligno, Simmonds, Bogo types pick up the slack for the others. - Barb34
Opposing teams are rushed, they’re just not hit. We do forecheck and quite effectively. We just don’t pound guys. Hyman, Simmonds, Thornton (when he gets there) and Foligno are exceptions. That will need to ramp up in the playoffs. |

They would point out that yes, the Penguins did have that "magical aura" of winning. - AdamFrench
Some guy named Sid. Winning the Cup is random. |

Funny thing is Murray was the reason they won that series...He sure learned a lot from that.
He sucks now but if he ever is in a cup final again lookout, he just understands the game differently now |

Hurts me to say it, but Salming is a tad over-rated.
He gains huge points for what he had to endure as a Euro breaking into the league. Hell, I'd put him in the HHOF in the builders' category - just for that.
But he's kinda like over-rated by Leafs Nation, just because he was all we could cling to for many years.
Still a bona fide HHOFer - no doubt. - Atomic Wedgie
I don't know if I would call it over-rated because I do think he was the best defenseman we've ever had.. Salming could do it all too. |

Stevens is an interesting one - probably left off most people's lists, because he didn't accumulate enough points (no Norris trophies, either). |

I assume this means Kadri will be suspended shortly. |

Was just going off the top of my head. I was raised on the early-90's to early 2000's so Stevens always comes to my brain because there are few defensemen I would choose to have in their prime when everything was on the line. |

Stevens couldn't play today. He'd be suspended all the time. He was feared. I never thought he was dirty. He'd catch players like Lindros with their heads down and hit with his shoulder. Just how you were taught. Now it's a federal crime to body check an opponent with an open ice hit. |
