One team has been really good all around all year long, the other hasn't been very good at all but won a bunch of tight games against some other bad teams.

lets see what they did head to head:

Canes 4 - 2 Preds
Canes 4 - 2 Preds
Canes 3 - 2 Preds
Canes 5 - 1 Preds
Canes 4 - 1 Preds
Canes 3 - 1 Preds
Preds 3 - 1 Canes
Preds 5 - 0 Canes

Canes 6-2-0 with 24 goals
Preds 2-5-1 with 17 goals

looks like a coin flip to me!

- BINGO!

So there was 1 pretty meaningless game that Nashville scored 5 goals. No Dougie Hamilton that night. No Slavin. No Pesce. Like I said, a meaningless game. Take that away and I see the Preds were held to either 1 or 2 goals in the other 7 contests (the 3-1 win had an empty-netter). So in 7 games, Nashville scored 11 goals. Sorry. That's not going to win a series. Maybe Ek thinks its difficult but I just put a couple hundred buck on this being over in 4 or 5 games.

Ha.

Maybe the Predos will do to you what you did to the Rangers last year.

Speedbag a team that they're vastly superior to? I think the Preds are missing the latter part of that equation.

I was referring to the fact that Rangers dominated Canes in regular season.

Then got swept.

But yeah, I dont see it either.

Haha. As I said, Carolina smothered Nashville, once again held them to 2 goals or less, and put up 5. It didn't matter which goalie Carolina went with. So many people made a big deal of Nashville winning these last 2 games. Look deeper. These were pretty meaningless games for Carolina, with the 5-0 game playing without their top 3 d-men. This was the easiest series to pick. I bet several hundred bucks on Carolina winning in 4 or 5. Did the same with Colorado and Toronto. The 3 easiest picks.

100% agree. But most of that roster is useless, especially their group of forwards. David Poile should use his time machine and undo Johansen and Duchene. This franchise needs a new GM who can rebuild. Starts with shopping Ekholm after the expansion draft. I'd also look at selling Forsberg who is one of the few assets that can fetch a big return. Poile is totally overrated. Did you know Kyle Turris has a $2M cap hit for 6 more years. Haha. Anyway, Nashville won those last 2 meaningless games so that makes this series really tough to call. Lots of hockey left.

He's turned into a faster, but smaller and not as strong version of Jordan Staal.
