Jeez, I can't figure out if I hate the Bruins or the Capitals more. I think I'm rooting for the roof to collapse.

Caps aren't winning poop if Anderson is the starter for every game. He is brutal.

Here's hoping that Wilson and Marchand can simultaneously end each other's careers.

This isn’t true. Pelech was pretty awful for his first few years this entire thread panned him. He came into his own before trotz came on board imo and really blossomed further under trotz. I don’t think you are remembering correctly. I don’t remember anyone thinking he would be a good player on here initially myself included.

Edit; maybe you thought he was good from the get go but nobody else did on here. I don’t even remember you liking him I thought we were al universally panning him

7 used to always say how good he was while others complained that I know. That was a few years ago too

Roof collapse would be the best outcome.

OK...topics of the day:

1) Leo Komarov is not a first line player. That's the criticism I hear most about him (and agree with), and if he threw 690 hits in a period yesterday I'm not sure that statement would be any less true, but it would be a legendary accomplishment for a bottom-six forward, which is what Komarov is. The situation is what it is, though...the first line is where he is and where he's staying, so we all have to make peace with it (I have). But, to capt's point, we probably don't have to relitigate the issue every time the guy takes a competent baby step out there on the ice.

2) As for Bailey, I think he does more good out there than he gets credit for, but I get the criticisms because when he's bad, he's very noticeably bad; but when he's good, he's sort of under-the-radar good. I still believe he overthinks things sometimes, and when options A and B aren't there for him, he thinks himself into trouble. That's painfully obvious on the power play.

3) Mayfield...yeah...he hasn't been great. I think this season we're seeing that Toews was maybe a little better than we thought he was, and maybe held that pairing up a bit, because I feel like Leddy-Mayfield has been a noticeably worse pair defensively all season. I still like his physicality back there, and think that'll be even more important as this series goes on, and even more important if the Isles are fortunate enough to move on to face one of the other divisional teams.

- UIF

Actually your bottom six guys throw more hits as thats their role more so than your top six guys just not 690 of them. Since they were in their own zone a lot the first half of the game without the puck it makes sense he hit a lot. If we had the puck it wouldn't be on his stick and he wouldn't hit either so the Stat fits the narrative for yesterday's game. Yea he still sucks for a top line guy

I don’t remember anyone liking him till there was a reason to like him. I honestly don’t even remember you two being on here when Pelech was bad

And boy did he suck during those 9 games.

I think 7 was the first to stick up for him. However, I don't recall him (7) doing it in the first year or so of Pelech's NHL career.

Yea I and I said a few years ago but it was before we all thought he was good I know that. Maybe he was only 6 months ahead of us on that but it was before the board

As we head into the 2021 Summer Olympics, I hope the US diving team is taking notes from the Caps

Someone needs to do a Ralphie v. Black Bart gif with Caps players falling all over the place

Tom Wilson actually got called for it. It was the worst acting job I've seen since Sean Avery was in his prime.

Yes, but it would just even up the series to a game apiece.

I just hate both teams but yeah of course hopefully they kill each other. Bergeron is the one exception for both teams love the guy.
