100% agree

Either way, if we lose with Donnie, its gonna be alot of :

"Pegulas hired a rookie coach again"

I like donnie alot and think it's a great fit. Makes we want to attend games and watch our young talent grow.
He gives me that vibe....

- Boss34

I agree boss but is it going to put people in the stands
I think that's pegulas biggest concern

Oh yeah like don't get me wrong Jack's an incredible talent. I just don't know that, at this stage, a deal like that makes sense.
- BINGO!

Aho is a 1.0 PPG player last 2 seasons no doubt. He plays on a very good team and gets the benefit of better QoTm, which is a key factor, more that QoC.

Jack was a 1.0 PPGm player this season with a problematic ankle, broken rib and strained abdomen.
Last season he was a 1.2 PPGm player. The Season before he carried Skinner to 40G season.

Fine, We'll throw on Olo too, but need something in return

To be fair, Aho is a huge reason why it’s a good team. Take him off there and they are a border line playoff team. With him they are a cup contender.

good...any names?...am assuming they're all college coaches because the nhl does not allow for tampering with any coaches under contract...

and, why don't you use this when talking about the "one" candidate:

They’re unreal.

It’s incredible how they were able to somehow recover after trading a Conn Smythe Winner. It didn’t end up being the worst mistake ever that cratered the franchise

Funny how competent management works

Yet O’Reilly has a Cup win & the AVs are still trying for one
Maybe if they just paid him they’d have won one by now???

Guess the Leafs should have kept Bozak too ?

I’m surprised they let Pietrangelo walk for free considering he and Binnington, going from ECHL to top 10 goalie in the league, were 70% of the reason why they won the cup

There's obviously tiers of players and it seems fairly personal to each.

Zegras looks like one of the best prospects league wide. IMO, he's better than a nice prospect. Quinn is a nice prospect to have (not where he was picked just mean level of quality). Zegras is a prospect you should be really excited to have.

It's what I'm hoping for. Get one of the stud kids, a middle 6 roster player and a 1st. All these trade scenarios where we are taking 6 parts to make the whole, seems off to me.

- RhinoFan

For Eichel, I’d want:
-the team’s BEST prospect/young player
-another one in their top3-5
-multiple 1sts
-and I’d take back salary as long as it’s not a long term contract we’d be stuck with

That seems fair to me

binnington saw his sv% drop in the finals from .914- .912 and his gaa go up from 2.46 to 2.75

ror scored five of his eight goals in the finals, all 5v5, and saw his pts/gm go from 0.88 to 1.29...

didn't see bozak's name on the conn smythe trophy either

Neighbors. I'm looking for a waterfront restaurant between Hamburg and Tonawanda that's great for hanging out on the patio for a few hours, with good food. I know a few solid spots but I'd like to know if I'm missing one. Prefer the food to be good, since we'll be eating there too.

ROR was also getting blasted on Sportsnet and CBC through the first two rounds of the playoffs for how poor he was playing.

Funny how you can’t make the cup final if you don’t win the first two rounds.

ROR came through in the end. However, they advanced purely because Schwartz went on a heater with Schenn. They were their best line.

ROR was actually relegated down the lineup, some speculated it was an injury but he was pushed down the lineup in round 1.

in the end, ryan o'reilly has his name on the stanley cup and made such a significant contribution to st louis' first ever hockey championship, he also had his name engraved on the conn smythe trophy given to the most valuable player in the NHL playoffs...he capped that off with the Frank J. Selke Award for best two-way forward in league...

oh...and they don't get to the playoffs without an incredible run spurred on with the help of ror, who's 24 goals and plus-26 rating for those 56 games led the team while his 54 points were second behind david perron's 58
