Cong said above that they have more than enough space.

But if it helps increase the return from them, I'd absolutely take back a cap dump.

- Powerslave

Me too
And I’d take additional cap dumps from other teams for the next 2-3years to get more 1st rounders in the ‘22 & ‘23 drafts

Literally no one has said this.

But this has what it’s come down to. Extreme exaggeration of what people are saying

There’s no evidence anymore that he’s anywhere near good. He doesn’t score a lot of points anymore, he doesn’t defend well, doesn’t score a lot of goals for a D man.

There’s nothing there

Eichel, Reinhart, Skinner, Dahlin have been reasons we’ve won hockey games the last few years, on the few occasions we do.

Ristolainen has been a detriment way more than a solution

- sbroads24

I’ll GLADLY stop talking about Risto if u guys would stop bashing him- it’s pointless

He’ll likely be traded soon,
and then u guys can celebrate

It was literally just said by flaccoville a few pages back. Ketchup.

And y'all keep bringing him up. Every game a small group wait for a mistake then jump in with the hate. Been happening for years.

This team's troubles are far from his fault, or ror, kane girgensons, etc, the convenient whipping boys for what's been a loser organization post-tank

Quick could be the perfect fit

He's got mileage, makes too much money, and will absolutely hate be traded to buffalo.
Maybe sell some fans on his "experience ".

#tank4indicator meter would be high

- Boss34

Tokarski had a better save %

if they need to give us a cap dump, give us maatta

Because he’s on the ice constantly. For way too many minutes he can’t handle. For years.

That’s entirely different than saying he’s the sole reason we lose. Come on.

This debate is so futile.

Provide evidence he isn’t as bad as we’ve claimed?

He’s a bad hockey player, and you might like him. Sorry his terrible play leads to a lot of commentary on it.

nothing would satisfy this quote from a poster on here

as bad as risto is, dahlin is not much better

winning would make them both better players

We’ve had VERY FLAWED teams EVERY year
Many of us talk each other into being hopeful each year..... but we just haven’t built a good “team” yet
Not even close

And blaming the whipping boy of the week is just pointless
You hit the nail on the head there

And when Dahlin was making terrible plays early in the season, some criticized him relentlessly, others defended him as being young.

Just like when Risto was terrible in year 3, some people defended him as being young.

If by year 5 Dahlin is still putting up average numbers it will be a huge problem and no one should defend him

Btw. Prior to playoffs, watched a few Cats game and I can see why everybody loves them. That said, I still think the playoffs in the east would have been tough for them. Perhaps they coulda supplanted the Isles, but the Caps, Pens and B's have the edge
