Pens have been dominating this game. If Jarry can just settle in they will be fine.

This game has all the hallmarks for a Pens loss on a crap bounce.

Lucky twice there. Jarry looking shaky early.

Glad Jake is ok.

Hextall and Burke have a tough decision to make. Does Geno still have the drive to continue? His health has been a question mark.

Geno needs to take a big discount on his next contract. Depending on the term, if he wants more than $7m I'm trading him.

Similar to when we lost Letang, when the Pens have good depth they can win without Malkin.

Are we really having this conversation during game one?

Theyre trying way to hard to thread the needle on the PP. Should have just put it on Sorokin and see if you could get a rebound.

I kinda thought that, too, but I just feel good right now about the Pens' chances. I'm sure the Isles will have some serious pushback to begin the second though.

Well the Islanders goalie should be free Gabe. Really thought Zucker might of skew footed him flying through the crease.

To credit the Isles PK, they were giving the Pens nothing. Just throwing it in could easily wind up as a short-handed rush against.

I guess eventually Sorokin wasn't going to stop a Crosby tip. Nice goal! Could feel it coming. Bottom six creating a lot of momentum.

You just can't pay him top dollar, but anything less than it happening this offseason will have that "disrespect/distraction" vibe

Hopefully "2 year/15" extension seems fair, or Geno intentionally taking less to "help the team win"

Guaranteed OV will demand top dollar and any Geno extension will get compared to that
