Nelson's got Eberle disease, where out of nowhere you see him flying up ice for a puck and think 'holy poop, I've never seen him skate that fast"....then he looks slow af the rest of the game. That said, he tends to score timely goals, so it's a tradeoff

You can make an argument for either. I still feel better with Varlamov, but Sorokin earned another start IMO.

Defense looked shaky at best today. Mayfield, Green and Dobson coughing up pucks and not playing their man almost killed this team today. Sorokin did well and answered the call. Palms showed why I wanted him here. JGP again justified the picks Lou gave up. Third Line was the driving force today. Four line was next. No.1 and No.2 better find themselves before the next game.

Credit the pens forecheck they forced a ton of turnovers the 1st two periods. Once the isles got the puck deep and forechecked the pens d had the same issues and why its so important to be aggressive and on the puck carrier, taking away time and space creates turnovers and leads to wins
