i love the fact that when discussing JB and his deficiencies, it always comes back to an argument against MG.

it's 7 seasons later and this BS has gotten as old as JB's incompetence. JB can draft but he can do pretty much nothing else.

for you that's good enough. i'd like to move beyond mediocrity which is where we are heading and which you'll realize in about 5 years. and then you'll be crying for a rebuild... 15 YEARS TOO FCUKING LATE.

Melnyk won't pay what this team is worth.

I would be all for this person who is going to be better. I have no problem letting JB go today, tomorrow, the day after that.

The last 2 GM's were supposed to be better than the last guy as welll, they weren't. They were different than JB and the organization is in the current situation because of that.

Maybe he is the one doing the amateur scouting and making most of the picks. Maybe he should step down into an asst role and let someone else do the other work.

Over the last 20 years of Canucks rookies, JB has brought in 6 out of the top 15.

I have a feeling a few more are going to make it into the top 15 next season.

No. This is JB's team now. He's had all the time to change the direction and implement what he wants. The good, the bad, the mediocrity: it's all at his feet.

Sure, he inherited a lot of nothing, but he's shaped it into his image now.

I'd be fine if he ran the scouting and GTFO of the daily GMing. But I highly doubt he'll take that demotion.

Who would actually buy the team? I haven't heard of anybody lately trying to buy an NHL team.

Melnyk won't pay what this team is worth.

just like the next GM could be worse than JB so that's a reason not to get rid of him.

i guess when they both retire or pass away, things might change.
