A lot of it is systems, I just think with the young guys on the left side, you need better players on the right. I'm no fan of Myers and his contract and would love for them to move him, Schmidt is good and I think will bounce back a little, and Hamonic is fine but not ideal.

Overall the players look worse because of the system, but I would like for them to upgrade the RHD because I think the LHD are going to be good/set for the next 5 years.

I'd be into trading JTM for an equivalent RHD.
Maybe Risto + in Buffalo...similar ages, salary, although JTM is signed for 1 year more.
Easier to replace a forward on the open market.

I live across the water on Vancouver Island, but unless you are tied to that community (rich white guys) I don’t imagine there’s much that slips that isn’t meant for us. I have met Geoff a number of times, nice guy, not sure he’s ready for an executive position in the NHL. A clapper post and in on Mike Vernon isn’t exactly related experience to running a $100m organization...

Of course not, in theory and on paper - but this is how it happens all over the league. Every team is made up of ex players, the old boys club, keeping themselves all employed. But then guys like Sakic, Gallant, Hextall, Blake, Yzerman and along list of other ex players that just devoured all aspects of the game and moved into those roles and of course have success. I'm not saying I want Courtnall or he's the answer but I don't see how its any different than the other dudes.

Ya I've voiced trading JTM before, more so for future cap/contract/age reasons. If they could get a younger top RHD for him, I'd do it. But not for Risto.

I’d trade Boeser.solid player but he doesn’t drive play. Bo and Miller are the only guys that can create offence out of nothing. Boeser needs time and space. We have a team/ organization full of betas

Wife and I are wanting to get a timeshare there for when our girls are grown up and moved out. Keawakapu Beach is our second home.

That's awesome buds. Maui is the only place I've ever been to in my life where I didn't want to come home after a long period of time. Would love to live there full time of I could

Anyone know if Ekblad is planning to be back in the playoffs, or done for the year?

I think Miller on his contract right now has a lot of value, and when the Canucks are legit ready to compete in a few years he'll be 31 and needing a new contract. His window just doesn't line up with the team's.

Boeser is getting better, showed a lot more defense this year. Still has room to grow his game.

Podkolzin is an Alpha, clearly. That Sputnik vaccination put him over the top.

Pull an Yzerman hey a haul and Trade Miller.

Yzerman moved Mantha cause he's time frame doesn't line up.

Do the same JB.

He won't because he has zero foresight and struggles to tie his shoes in the morning.

As much as we all hate the bruins, nobody can say they haven't done a great job over the last 10 years. I dont know much about Bradley, but I'd be 100% down from taking a page out of the bruins management book

Thinking on a time share in Osoyoos.
1/4 share for 69k & 1k monthly maintenance. Full share is $209k.
Leasehold but a Hyatt that has a rental pool.

Well we are thinking on it atm only. Still deciding on what our options are then make up our financial plan.

We need a different type of RHD to compliment the kids imo.

A lot of those guys you mention work in lesser roles for years before becoming a GM or president of hockey ops etc. I’m not saying GC couldn’t be successful, but I’m pretty sure he is a financial advisor for TD, or something finance related.

Aren’t the Habs in the playoffs? Didn’t they have a covid outbreak? Don’t they play in our division?

I guess using COVID as an excuse for why we’re a poopty team doesn’t cut it.

More like the total story...

Crap start to the season.
Habs owned us.
Covid finished us.
