For the people who want Laf to score a ton of points, he may be the best option for that

but seriously, I was dead set against firing Torts 8 years ago and I actually think he'd be a great coach for Lafreniere, and I believe Panarin and Torts have a good rapport

No matter who they hire people are going to complain. I honestly just don't care, hire someone. I am more worried about who they trade for this summer

I don't think there's a coach who ever lived that could have kept Panarin in Columbus

Gallant is my choice but it does make you wonder why his shelf life is so short in places where they seem to have success

What makes you say that Jimbo?
- mrn22

because I think Lafreniere is extremely coachable, great kid, hard worker and I think Torts would absolutely love him.

match made in heaven

Friedman says that in the unlikely event Brind'amour doesn't sign in Carolina, the Rangers would very much like to talk to him.

I think Kakko's progress this year would have earned him points with Torts. Kracs and Chytil, yeah they'd be screwed.

Ironically, the former Rangers coach that would do best with this group is probably AV. This team can play with the pace that he likes to play with. I'm an AV defender and I'd agree not to go down that road though.

welp, I'd like to tell Brind'amour that as far as I'm concerned, money is no object if he and his gang would like to come here

F AV.
We are soft enough. Don't need any more of his turn-the-other-cheek style.
