Look, i was fine with Quinn staying, they just decided he wasn’t the one to get the team to the next level. Unsure i agree with that. Gallant had mainly a veteran team in Vegas and they never should have dealt for Pacioretty. Would have been better off staying the course.

I never would have believed that Dolan would do an entire organizational hatchet job over a regular season 6-1 loss to the Islanders in a Covid shortened season

He's like Jimmy Conway after the Lufthansa Heist

Or a short sighted petulant owner who was born on third base and thought he hit a triple...

Speaking of Carolina. What happened to svechnikov this year? Really thought he was primed to explode. Had a pretty good year but nothing exceptional

F AV.
We are soft enough. Don't need any more of his turn-the-other-cheek style.

- Tonybere

At some point though, you really can't argue with the results. If he had won the cup, you could argue he was the most successful coach in franchise history. I did agree it was time to close the book on that though.

Of course being soft could be one of the complaints with Boudreau's teams.

Sean Avery has been saying that Drury absolutely hated Torts when he played for him if that changes anything

it's really hard to gauge player's numbers this year with these circumstances of this crazy season

3rd on team in points, I think he was fine

what's the delay on his contract? I heard he was signing a 3 year deal and then all of a sudden it stopped
- jimbro83

Insiderrrrrs jumped the gun.

He has an agreement in place but isn't putting pen to paper until his assistants and all the medical/training staff get deals too. They're working on those right now.

The team put out a tweet celebrating the 3 year anniversary of him signing on as head coach and a bunch of media dippoops jumped all over it claiming he had signed his new deal. He hadn't, yet.

Tough year. Played hurt most of the season. Has had something going on with his shoulder.

The other thing is Teravainen got concussed, so they split Svechnikov and Aho up most of the season, having Svech carry the offense on Staal's line. Had to fight through more checks there because teams didn't have to try to defend anybody else on that line lol

When Teravainen came back Brind'amour put the "SAT" line back together and they just shredded. They were averaging 5 points per game or something for a stretch until they clinched 1st in the central and Brind'amour started resting guys again.

Ironically enough I (frank)ing HATED the idea of hiring him in the first place. Shows what I know.

Ironically, as I've been looking at whether Scheifele might be a reasonable target for 2C, an answer for us at 3C could be about-to-be free agent Andrew Copp.
Big guy, good on faceoffs, looks like he could be figuring out the offense. Could make Chytil quite tradeable rather than moving Strome.

All kidding aside the guys seem to love Fast. He doesn't show up on the scoresheet all that much but they rave about how he always shows up and does the little things right every game.

He's been a real nice addition. Doesn't matter where he is in the lineup he brings the same thing every game.
