Have they released the injuries report yet? My guess is Hart was injured earlier in the season and was playing through it..ughhhh. And my comical but sad joke would be that Kevin Hayes was on mood elevators like librium or something more modern..how else do you float through a season like that at 7ml plus per season ? Who does he think he is, a modern day Alexi Yashin or Alexander Daigle?

hayes said he would need minor surgery, that's all i saw so far for injuries. fletcher said he was under the impression that hart was 100% or close to.

You might not want to give out your real name and your email address in one fell swoop there buddy. At least make the scammers work for it. This site is about as secure as a Kardashian's box.

There is a reason why G could barely/not make team Canada during the stretch of time 3-5 year period when he lead the NHL points. His peers know what he is as a hockey player

hahahahahahaha dude this analogy is just bad. did either of them lead the league in rushing touchdowns? then, did they do it over a period of 3-5 years, as you said?

completely idiotic. say he's a bad captain, ok. you couldn't possibly know that, but that's your opinion. but he's a bad hockey player? you're a moron.

- Ftown19125

Cam won a league MVP.

But c’mon bud. You don’t know if he’s a bad leader!? You’re just a blind follower than. Same bs from this team during his captaincy season after season.

What makes a good hockey player?

What does giroux bring to the table?
Leadership? No
Speed? No
Physicality? No
Defense? No

I can go back to just this season. He is a perimeter player who for the longest time got most of his points on the pp & now that is even drying up. At this point he is overpaid & over used. Third line forward on a good team
- Fopa21

Giroux had more even strength points this season than Nick Bäckström, Patrice Bergeron, Anze Kopitar, Jamie Benn or Alex Ovechkin.

It goes to show you they were better hockey players than G otherwise he would of made it over them. Does G have sick hands no doubt is he more gifted offensively than chris kunitz absolutely but a country is trying to field the best team of hockey players who play the right way they aren’t going for sickest hands. Hence the miracle on ice team. Giroux is one dimensional. So many better hockey players few with better hands
- Fopa21

The best team is not the sum of the individual bests. That is what I have been trying to say. Indeed, Kunitz played largely because how hot he was on Crosby's wing.

Team Canada is all about politics. Anyone who doesn't know this, isn't paying a lot of attention.

& yet all those forwards minus Ovy had a better plus minus despite less 5 on 5 production. G plays ZERO defense

They are all phenomenal hockey players because they aren’t one dimensional

you're comparing double digit rushing touchdowns by a quarterback to leading the entire league over several seasons as a point you're trying to make.

Exactly my point that G is not a top/good hockey player. Great hands heck maybe even has a huge johnson but a hockey player/sum of all parts:offense defense physicality iq not a good one. Chris kunitz never would get close to 100 points but would hit fight chip on offensively play defense & be tough to play against in general. Give me 20 of them vs 20 girouxs

A casual observation regarding the role of wingers in the last 20 odd years. It seems to me that the prototypical power forward winger: Leclair/Knuble/Holmstrom/Lucic are on their way out. Big and strong but a little slow. Tom Wilson is a throwback, and so is Brady Tkachuk. Even sniper/PFs like Keith Tkachuk and Corey Perry and Anders Lee seem to be dwindling. The modern winger seems to be a fast skater who is a creative passer, and plays his best not along the boards but in open ice and is an excellent passer. I put Marner, Kucherov, Rantanen (who is huge but doesn't play that physical), Marchand, Svechnikov in that category.

We have no one, young or old, who fits in that category.

The Kraken apparently signed their first player. Luke Henman, drafted by the hurricanes in 2018. I'd be lying if I said I ever heard of him.

Read carefully. For a decade straight they made the playoffs one year then missed the next year then made it then missed it......they even mentioned it during a game. Just read a lot of recaps eh
