i've thought this for a while but then i also remember that this is the stupidest, most ridiculous NHL season we have ever seen and i wonder if this was an impossible task for him?
but then i remember that he had Xavier Oullet in the lineup over Brett Kulak at one point - DoubleDown
Won't matter. He'll be given a 3 year deal within a week of the Habs being eliminated |

what's up this morning? what are we debating? also, what did you have for breakfast? - kicksave856
I don't think there's an actual debate, because the consensus is Staal sucks, but we're discussing why MB should "keep his promise", if he had an agreement with the guy to let him play... and I'm currently having a raspberry muffin. what's up on your side?

yeah, who needs goals? In your face toughness wins hockey games - Takemedrunkimhome
He has 9 goals and 12 assist playing fourth line and power plays…. Perry has earned his place, has experience and leadership skills. Caufield has proven he can score 3 on 3, never goes into corners to fight for the puck and will definitely not stand in front of the crease…. Yes, he has scoring abilities…..but he still has some growing to do(no pun intended) |

I don't disagree other than to say the Habs, today, have issues scoring and creating scoring chances. Caufield provides that to a greater degree than nearly everybody else. I'd rather give Caufield the chance to succeed or fail than to send out old guys and likely end up with similar results |

A) yes he does. he just doesn't do it when someone like Darnell Nurse is making a beeline for him. because he's not stupid.
B) that's not his job. his job is to find space. it his linemates' jobs to retrieve the puck and find him in space.
C) why would you want him in the crease? he's going to take a beating and he's not going to provide much of a screen.
Sporstnet had a great analysis last week. the Habs generate offence off the rush. not off the cycle. they're 25th in cycle goals this season. it's just not where they're going to have success. their big guys outside of Anderson are not their talented guys. so winning puck battles in the corner is not as important as being able to pull the trigger in scoring position. |

I mean if everybody is getting fired anyway, have at it. If Kotkaniemi isn't in the lineup Molson should just start changing everybody's email addresses and ID cards |

Who on the team not named Anderson, Toffoli or Petry has shown they deserve a long leash? |

it's surprisingly okay. the vanilla ones are poison though. i think the vanilla ones help you lose weight because you end up decomposing in a box underground. |

yeah but you can't sit 11 players and KK has been among the least effective players on this team for a while now. he's going to need an early goal or big play, similar to what happened in the bubble last year, to get a bit of mojo. right now he couldn't saw the nuts off a grasshopper. |
