i like the circular conversations, moving the goal around, and last word strategies too. |

On the plus side I'm too old to know what half the insults even mean...so winning, right? |

I'm just older than Eric Staal and this whole thing is giving me sports mortality issues. Before this discussion I thought "you know if I just commit to it I could still make it" |

Staal should have just retired before they sent him to the Sabres like his agent threatened he would. |

Staal agreed to waive his no trade clause. That's it. The argument of compete is something you inserted. As reported the agreement was Staal wouldn't be a healthy scratch if he waived his no trade clause. Staal did his part - Takemedrunkimhome
ok so to put a finishing point on this and then never speak of it again... at what point does it become acceptable for him to be a healthy scratch, in your view? is there ANYTHING? posting a -7 one night? firing a puck behind Jake Allen? taking off his skate and stabbing Tyler Toffoli? |

it would be stupid for her to weigh in even if the team had no French players because it's a cultural issue not a political issue. but that the team DOES have 2 high profile French players who just so happen to be out of the lineup at the same time makes it infinitely stupider. she's arguing that the Habs should have an infinite supply of NHL-ready French players when there are a total of 32 regulars in the NHL who come from Quebec. |

My counter is this - they saw him play this year in Buffalo. If they didn't know what they were getting that's on them and if MB can't live up to a promise he shouldn't make it. There are consequences to our words and actions and whether Staal plays or sits those consequences will play out. I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees |

You don't think that would provide fodder to get right back @ them? I'd be here for it all damned day. Frankly I'm more inclined to talk about all the draft picks I was comically wrong about anyway |

Is there someone reporting an actual agreement about Staal not being a healthy scratch?
Is there a link to that story?
Or is this just nonsense talk like usual? |
