IMO LA is not a good fit (On LAs side)
They have an abundance of youg prospects coming up.
ALready had a god (albeit old) 1st line center.
I cant see LA giving up the farm for him. |

Not yes men. I'm torn. I like Donnie G and think he could do well. But the losing culture needs an enema and I don't think he's the guy to do it. - Michael Pachla
Sounds like donnie G has a bound already with the young core. I think he gets the job next year.
Especially considering he will be an inexpensive choice, who could actually teach the core fundamentals |

Zazzma is a great Twitter follow as well if you spend a lot of time on there.
I get my fill of sports, entertainment, FinTwit, and see half naked women all mixed together.
Quite the combo |

Having an abundance of good young talent is a reason they WOULD be in the running
They can give up the pieces needed without bankrupting their prospect pool- not too many other teams can |

I think it would be the Kings as well.
But I’m prepared for some sort of combination of two of the following plus a pick and a cap dump.
Villardi, Kupari, Turcotte, Kaliyev, Bjornfort.
I’m ready to not get Byfield |

My god. No way. If Adam’s was offered that and didn’t accept he should be fired on the spot. |

If healthy I think the return would be Byfield. I doubt he is in the discussions either, and certainly not +++.

If Eichel were healthy, and motivated for that matter, there are maybe 5 players in the entire league that can impact the game more than he can in the right system.
The Sabres will lose any trade involving Eichel, that’s something we have to come to comfort with.
The best we can hope for is that Terry and Kim do nothing other than write checks and we get the right management in place to turn things around here, as that is the root issue of the team the past 10 years |

No you will not get a piece back that will equal Eichel, but you could get back enough pieces that make us a better overall team. |

Sure, but we are robbing Peter to pay Paul.
Move the franchise talent to create a good team that then lacks the franchise talent.
Isles have had some success sans Tavares but do they have enough to win a Cup ?
Now in saying that, I do understand that just playing playoff hockey after this long of drought would appease most people.
I’m also not hating on what the Isles have accomplished, they could very well win a cup for all I know.
Looking at the likes of Colorado, Toronto, and Edmonton (to an extent cause the team still sucks outside of McDavid and Draisatil) it’s tough to come out with nothing after tanking. |

We’ll see how it plays out
Of course they’ll try not to part with Byfield
Hopefully Adams &/or Karmanos can work a good deal for us
Eichel is a talent that SHOULD demand a team’s best pieces in return
Hopefully NyR is desperate enough to increase the bidding enough that LA has to include Byfield (and whatever else we want)

A big difference is that they lost Tavares for nothing- & that was a huge mistake on their part
At least we should be getting a bunch back for Jack |

No Peter is robbing us, cause he got his way. But if I can get a Dman that balances out my top4, and 2 young top6 forwards that balances out my scoring I could actually have a better overall team then a top heavy 1 line. Eichel is a good hockey player and don't want to trade him, rather build around him, but 1 player doesn't make a team. |

I’m not disagreeing with that one bit that we can get pieces back that ultimately help this team finish higher in the standings.
What are the odds another top 5 Center walks through the door though in the next few years ?
Unless we luck into Wright or Bedard |
