Those were unscreened, undeflected shots. Could have had them - in the third period, trying to keep a lead, goalies need to get those.

If the team cleared the puck, played in the o zone, made better passes, etc. those numbers & saves (required or not) would be down & less expected of Delia. The team let him down, not the other way around.

I don’t care how many great saves he made in the first two periods - he didn’t make them in the third - shots he could have stopped, again, unscreened, not deflected.

Lots of SOG - 50 - save % = .900. He didn’t lose 2-1 - he gave up 5 - with “help” from his teammates, but he’s the last line of defense.

Make the late game-saving save. Good goalies do that.

Sage, yes Crow was uncanny at making the saves when it was needed, that was one of the reasons that he was so underrated by those that didn’t t see him play as much as we did, so I get it, but man 49 SOG’s is 49 SOG’s.

Unfortunately this coach will probably be around next year. I will put in who may be a replacement if he is let go. Many people on this blog have liked Dave Hunter and perhaps Mike Babcock. This team needs discipline. And while I like there enthusiasm and work ethic , the defense side of there game is horrible. Giving up about 50 shots on goal to Dallas! Thank god the season is over, let's go out and get some solid defensemen in free agency to help the younger kids get better.

No not really but all in all, not a bad season, given no Toews for all of it and Dach for about 3/4 of it.

They were able to work something like 10 rookies into the lineup this season along with several second year guys.

A number of them proved they belong in the NHL and maybe a couple more of skilled guys do next year in Borgstrom or Reichel. I know you're done with him but Nylander will get another chance, because he's got skill, will come cheap and the team won't be winning anything again next year, so why not?
