He did, he and ADB worked with Kane’s trainer 2 years ago.

Remember, ADB put on too much muscle? Reason he lost his scoring touch?

Someone once addressed this. The point they made, was that Strome does not have the necessary skating stride or agility etc al to improve his skating to an acceptable level.

Smart GM's won't bite on Strome. They can get him for next to nothing if they wait a while. Maybe even at The Entry Draft he could be had real cheap.

Sme posters discounted this. Claimed it was a few other things. I believe that the weight training was at least partially responsible for seemingly loosing hus ability to score and shoot the way he previously did. I bet he lost some of that added muscle and reverted back to the capable scorer he is.

Hs skating is too slow and he cannot get to pucks. He does not fit the compete in board scrums. Not willing to battle for pucks, although he did at times pick up on that a bit. He is not what the team wants at #2 or #3 Center or Wing. He has playmaker ability but his negative points outweigh his positive points.

I wonder if the Hawks could entice Seattle to take deHaan in the expansion draft with the agreement that they separately get Strome for a 5th round pick. Maybe we would have to send them our extra 4th rounder since they are taking on $7mil + in cap hit.

Whereever he goes rest assured he will help some players develop and one or more will rebel. Torts rubs players the wrong way for both good or not of team and players.

Players make too many mistakes because they don't want to do what their responsibilities are. It is not always they don't understand. Or sometimes players look bad because a teamatte did not make a good decision or was irresponsible. So I get that the players need to get more attuned to working together.

But on break outs cmon' they have been tutored their entire career, even as far back as youth hockey. They know a forward needs to be in position to help the dman make the correct decision on break outs.They are impatient and want to get up ice and try to score without first helping get the puck out of their own end.
