This Washington/Rangers thing got me thinking... does anyone think its a good idea for a tough guy or two to be in the organization but not in the lineup? If something happens, they wouldnt be there to do something about it afterwards... but chances are youd play that team again. is it worth it? I think everyone agrees giving a guy like that a spot in the lineup every game would not be a good idea, but if they are in the AHL and can be called up... I wouldnt hate it.

Like when the Pens had Sestito and dressed him twice a year? Sure couldn't hurt. I guess that's Angelo, but I don't know that he's that intimidating.

They really should just because Sid and Geno seem to like having one. Bet they do next year.

It's amazing how durable Ovechkin has been given how he throws his weight around.

That’s what they get for signing hagelin, schultz, sheary, and sprong at the same time. It’s just too much ex penguin to stay healthy.

I don't think they'll actually get a goon. I do believe they'll emphasize getting a couple bigger players.

Oshie got hurt at the end of the 2nd period. Wash getting banged up at the wrong time.

I forgot that a tie won't do it for Washington. They have to score 2 now.

What do you mean? If this goes to OT the Pens clinch the division.

They are going to get one or two guys in the regular lineup that can fight next year I expect. They were connected Deslauriers. I could see Kassian from Edmonton. If they cant get Ceci resigned, Gudbranson would be a possible pickup for the bottom pair.

If the Flyers win this, I'll make a donation to the Flyers charity. I always like when that happens in sports. I remember when the Bengals got the Buffalo Bills into the playoffs because of a late regular season win and Bills fans gave over $450k to Andy Dalton's charity.

As far as I understand it, Pens just clinched. Wash needed two regulation wins.

Hell yeah! Thankfully ovi, kuznetsov, Carlson, backstroke, and samsonov are out with Injuries lol. Now just need Boston to win a couple games and ensure they get 3rd

If Boston gets a point against NYI then they get third place based on more RW than them.

My take is "be careful what you wish for". If they play Boston, then so be it. NYI has not played great as of late but we all know the pain that franchise has caused the Pens in the playoffs.

So, Pens need to gets some rest, then have good practices and be waiting for either one next, I believe, Saturday!

Any of these teams can easily beat the pens if they decide not to show up. Boston though has long been a team Pitt struggles with and they are flying right now. The isles are pitts best matchup, and they are a well coached defensive pain in the ass with the 2nd best goalie in the division. They can still beat Pitt for sure but I’d rather they play the isles while Boston and Washington beat the poop out of each other for hopefully 7 games and lots of ot.

Very true. Either way not gonna be a cakewalk. I think a Bs caps series would be ugly though. All for it.
