It was one of the worst feelings of my life watching him run and watching the bike get closer. The only one worse was when my kid fell over the railing between the time he landed and when he cried. Seemed like forever. |

(frank)ing Tampa ruined my Wedgie prediction. I had Leafs first to clinch first. Tampa needed a point last night otherwise Carolina clinched. They started McSieve and lost. |

So if Gallagher comes back then Montreal would have the best chance of knocking out Tampa?

After Wilson got away with what he did, why wouldn't you run the goalie? Might as well go Kypreos on Fuhr. Carolina won a Cup by running Roloson. |

I thin k Marleau gets in but it'll take a while. I think his issue is more lack of personal awards and any huge seasons rather than lack of cups. He's a bit like a Pierre Turgeon. - RogerRoeper
100% guaranteed Marleau will get in, and it’s what I hate about the HHOF.
it rewards guys who were above average for a long time. |

Does that really excite you?
You tune into Sharks games because you get a rush from watching an old guy go through the motions to break Howe’s record?
In his day, Lindros was the most exciting player in the game. You had to watch him.
When the Flyers came to town, there was added buzz in the air. The crowd new he was in the building.
The franking voters made Lindros wait to get in.
Yet the Gartners and Marleaus are automatic. |

It's not about excitement. It's about doing something so consistently for so long. This guy had to play that many games without injury and enough drive and skill to compete each time.
No GM had to sign him. He brought enough to a team to warrant a contract.

Sam Veleno scored his first goal last night for Detroit. He must be related to Engvall.

Marleau has had a decent career.
But man, he was barely a PPG for like two seasons, and then he was consistently under.
1200 points in nearly 1800 games is not HOF worthy. Maybe if he had lead teams to a cup or something you could make the leadership argument, but you can't do that either.
Marleau is a career fringe first line player, not a Hall of famer
