What do you guys think happens with ada now? Since gorton was the only one to my knowledge who said he would never play for the rangers again do you guys think drury will let him come to camp next year?

Wilson is an agent for Putin now. Ovechkin probably told him next time he won't be so lucky.

I saw tweets from an interview he did after the Wilson incident he would love to come back to the Rangers. That is up in the organizations hand.

Carp says in the Athletic that before the Rangers hired Quinn they came very close to hiring Jim Montgomery, but Montgomery ultimately turned them down because he didn't trust the Rangers would follow through on their pledge to rebuild and ultimately just start firing people

Montgomery came from Denver U, I believe, and took the Dallas job, and got canned. Guess it didn't work out for him there

boy it sure seemed like JD was talking about exactly that when he wanted to draft Schneider

Ya and what did he do to fix it besides draft a kid 3 years away from being on the roster? Ur in ur own little world there bud. U can’t blame everything on covid and a shortened season, there were plenty ways to make this team more difficult to play against. They don’t have the right mix, I’ve been talking about it for weeks and all u do is constantly dismiss it. Looks like u were wrong, again. I’ve listened to countless interviews of former players, insiders etc and they’re all pretty much agreeing that this team isn’t built right. But it’s ok bc u said 3 skill lines and a 4th of Howden and young kids getting tryouts is the recipe for success! Wrong!

It's incredible, ADA was such an afterthought because he has been gone for months, and it was written in stone he was going to be bought out. Now i guess that could spin 180 degrees, or anywhere in between. Now anything is possible, crazy

I personally don’t want him anywhere near the team but putting that aside where does he fit in? We have trouba and fox currently here and not going anywhere. Then there’s nils and Schneider waiting in the wings at RHD

Well we think, until the trades start flying this summer...may be tons of space for him

Geez .You are being a little harsh. Who peed in your cherrios? In Gorton/JDs defense, not too many teams have had all of these blue chip draft picks joining the NHL club at the same time. The AHL was a joke this year, and with the changing rules, they couldn't exactly move the youngsters back n forth between AHL and NHL like in previous years. The result was a buch of superstars, rookies, and low end talent fillers.

That’s one RHD spot left after fox and Trouba who, again, aren’t going anywhere. Surely we could find someone more defensively responsible than ADA even if we, god forbid, move both nils AND Schneider

Y? All his teammates say he’s an amazing teammate inside the locker room and out. Quinn and Gorton are the ones that had the problem, if their both gone there’s no reason not to give him a chance. Best case he plays well and we can flip him at the deadline, worst case his contract is up end of the year. We have more than enough cap space going into next year. I don’t think he’s part of the long term future of the team, but letting him play and possibly getting something for him is much better than buying him out and losing him for nothing.

I wasn't saying I want him back, just how that brick wall has come tumbling down.
I guess we will find out when they submit the protected list for the expansion draft

I implore you to focus on the part where I said “putting that aside”. Not getting into an ADA debate again. The furthest I’ll go is talking about where he or anyone fits on the roster after factoring in players not being moved (Fox and Trouba in this case)

Instead of putting goalless in 42 games Brett Howden out there how about someone in his place?

it's because ADA is a conservative and he's a conservative, that's what this whole thing is about
