I'm sure he was as mad as we all were about how inept we looked against the Bruins and Islanders this year, and he and JD/JG disagreed on how to fix those issues.

Then in a few days we got shutout back to back against the Isles, had the Richard Wilson game, and then rumor is JD/JG opposed the posting on Twitter, Dolan said get out

Im gonna stick to my guns and say the NHL gave Dolan an ultimatum after the statement released by the Rangers. I have a feeling the fine would have been far steeper had they not taken the current course.

He said without hesitation that he will stay the course that JD and Gorton laid out. People need to calm down. Drury has been an assistant so it’s not like he’s going into this blind. The JD part was just dumb and probably fired because he wouldn’t fire Gorton. But honestly, any pres of a team is never really known about like JD was, only because he was loved by the fan base, or a GM has duel titles. It wasn’t fair at all to JD, but we gotta move on

It's just not a good look when you agree to a rebuild and then fire everyone cause its not going fast enough after 3 years. Hard to trust they have any clue going forward.

Until proven otherwise, I will Trust Drury. he was a star player in this league, and played on a cup winner, he knows the chemistry needed on the ice and in the locker room to have a winning team. That's experience Gorton unfortunately didn't have
