I honestly think Fox had a legit chance at the Norris trophy
These last 5 games probably ended any chance - TPC
Just par for the course. I shut the game off a while ago. |

I think his fate was pretty much sealed anyway after yesterday, but this no show today prob is the final nail in the coffin for Quinn |

It is just too much for one week. The emotional swings alone are a killer.
I am just ready for the off-season. Let Drury do his thing and solidify the staff and make the moves to better the team.
A lot of positive things this season with the young guys, but it's time to put it in the rear view. |

Islanders come out and play perfect hockey against the Rangers then lose 3 straight to Buffalo and Jersey |

So reading Dolans comments, he wasn’t happy when the team came out like they just didn’t care when there we important games to win. I have to say, I agree with this. We’ve discussed how you need lines with established roles. When the tic tac toe isn’t working you need a line to go out there, throw some hits and stir things up to get your team going. We didn’t have that this year and from what Dolan is saying, Dolan Gorton and JD disagreed on how the team should be built. Which sounds to me like Dolan wanted a few players like that and JD and Gorton didn’t. You can’t win in this league with 4 finesse lines or 3 finesse lines with a 4th line of rookies, it just doesn’t work. |

He already knows he's not coming back.
Forgot the game was on, and probably wouldn't have watched anyway. |

Dolan said he’s leaving that decisions completely up to Drury. Will be interesting to see what he does. |

Historically, it is very hard and rare to win the Norris if your team doesn't make the playoffs. I love Fox, but Hedman is going to win it! |

I read Jim Dolan's comments like he's a total goddamn tool bag
"the 6-1 loss to the Islanders was a big one"
holy (frank), one goddman loss in this absurd season where they had 13 million in dead cap space causes them to get rid of the President of the team?
Our team is owned by somebody who should be in a straight jacket with big fake teeth

He's a money making mogul.
In his brain he sees a business product. And even after all these years owning the Rangers, he still doesn't get what it takes to build a winning franchise in the NHL. He want's results now and money now. I am willing to bet my one dollar in my savings account that he saw that they missed the playoffs, thinks it's been long enough and went full on high on crack, farting in the bathtub business man and justified the team needs a "culture change" in his head.
The man fails in hockey sense and just gutted the management team. What a penis. |

I'm still dumbfounded that this owner could go back to the well with a 77 year old who did more wrong than right in his time as GM and President, how just how, we're 100% certain to trade a future star away for a overpaid name, history tends to repeat itself |

Eichel is going to be a Ranger, you can put big money on it, BU boy with the BU GM and BU Coach, good god what are we gonna trade for him, I'm terrified of this offseason |

there's a sense of "holy (frank) what's gonna happen next"
that kind of excitement
which was the kind of excitement we had in the 80's
it kind of reminds me of 1986 when they fired Craig Patrick and hired Phil Esposito
Patrick has been steady building the foundation with some solid draft picks, some misses definitely, but definitely some solid picks and Esposito came in like a bull in a China shop
there's a sense of another bull in a China shop period about to happen |

You still have to be excited for the future, this team has some good prospects and players. We need a center. Hopefully they can trade for one not named Eichel or Getzlaf.
Im just a bit nervous with overpaying, Sather IMO always did. The RM for Gomez deal was lucky, he was just looking to dump Gomez. |
