thing is, if montreal's 3rd string doesn't have a bad period it's a much more competitive game

aww come on stinger, they had some decent performances before these 2 games, they're just very very (very) inconsistent...

I know I know...excuses...but I still think this compressed schedule doesn't help them.

Danault, Weber, Price, Gallagher, Byron, Drouin out...I mean come on. That's pretty rough.

Tatar came back tonight but he's barely noticeable out there

if they can magically have everyone healthy for game #1 of the playoffs, or at least most of them, then things could get interesting

Primeau wasn't the only one to blame, it was a terrible period for everyone.

They were probably hoping for an "easy night" for Allen yesterday so he could play both games

They should know there is no such thing for this team.

I feel like Ducharme has no gravitas. He's punching out of his weight class.

Penit is a douche but he's right here. Kid got schooled. Should have been yanked after the 3rd.

Gave up an early one, panicked, team did not help him out, overplayed a lot of shots.

Not a good game for him.

Learning lessons.

DD said he didn't pull Primeau because he felt the it was safer to bring Allen in to start the 2nd instead of having him jump in cold, which is riskier for an injury. makes sense

You will never convince me that Jeff Martin from The Tea Party wasn't somehow Jim Morrison reincarnated.

Caufield is such an anomaly. He has fantastic hands and appears to possess a great scoring touch. It is nice to see indications he will routinely be able to score against NHL opponents. Unfortunately, close observation reveals he is not ready yet to be a dependable player. He currently lacks many of the basic fundamentals and necessary skills required to be a successful full-time player. Hopefully the organization has recognized the need to properly develop assets and hires someone capable of correcting these deficiencies. It would be a shame to see him needlessly relegated to being a fourth-line powerplay specialist. With some patience and effort it is possible he can rapidly become a suitably complete player.
