He's still alive. His career basically ended after SNL. I just know I always confused Kattan with Fallon before the latter got more famous

His finest work was in Undercover Brother anyway!

Do you really think that will carry enough weight? The owner just took out the two guys who hired Quinn for not winning enough. How does the head coach escape that? I expect this announcement no later than Sunday aft.
- Tonybere

Exactly. No reason to terminate the coach with 3 games left.
How about Knobby? They played pretty well under him, although I expect a seasoned NHL coach to get the job.

Yeah for this team, it's nothing. I expected a bit worse myself.
- 2sticks1puck

I'm just glad they didn't penalize the team any picks. I actually thought it would have close to $1m honestly.

I was telling my wife last night it would definitely be 6 figures but I could see a 7 figure fine as well.

We honestly, don't know the fallout from last night. I'm waiting for something.

Picks for saying what 30 NHL teams felt like saying? I’m even surprised it was that much

they put themselves in a situation where this was the only outcome. if the NHL fired Parros after the rangers called for his firing in a tweet that would set a ridiculously terrible precedent. that's not to say i don't agree that Parros is a poop head and the league handled this as poorly as they possibly could. just that what else could've happened as a result of the tweet?

what probably would've been the more prudent thing (putting emotions aside), would've been to get the GMs/Presidents around the league to put pressure on Bettman to fire his ass

Yeah, the public roasting basically guaranteed his job would be safe for now. Hopefully they reflect on it during the off season and move him out of that role eventually.

When the league fined Brind'amour $25k for criticizing officials, Dundon
paid and extra $17 (Rod's number) just as a "(frank) you."

Rangers should do something similar with Panarin's number.

all that being said. we can now quantify exactly how much the league values its own ego over the safety of its players. 50x

The Rangers organization put them in an impossible spot. There's no way they could axe Parros following that statement.

This is looking like a shining example of what to expect during the Dolan Involvement Era. This is what I will be calling 2021-Indefinitely. At least until Dolan either stops meddling, dies, or is otherwise somehow disconnected from the Rangers.

the tweet was very short sighted and impulsive (even though we were all thinking it) and it reeks of Dolan's bi tch ass

I have no issue with them continuing to target Wilson at this point. I wonder if other teams will be keying in on him more.

I also want to point out that putting out such scathing comments etc. on social media is so (frank)ing childish and unprofessional. This is from a business standpoint on up through the idiots in politics who use it. Just the continued cheapening and dumbing down of our society.
