From the outside looking in, I don't think there's really any reason to distrust Drury. Even though he's a first-time GM, he's seems to have been "training" for quite awhile now. Sather could be a bit concerning but, at the end of the day, he's really only an advisor.

Gorton did a very job, I'm not suggesting at all that he did anything less than that...but I always felt his performance was just a little bit overblown by some. He won the draft lottery twice and added two star players (one established, one just becoming one) that literally wanted to play nowhere else but for the Rangers. Those were four very important additions that were kind of layups. But he did draft extremely well outside of the lottery picks, make shrewd trades, and utilize his cap space intelligently, so full marks for that.

I thought Jimbro was making a joke, it was that surreal.

During a rebuild you will have holes to fill. First year of a rebuild is a lost cause you acquire assets. So basically within 2 years the Rangers roster has been turned over and now its just a little more patience to see how well the prospects develop and then you fill in your holes. With Sather Im terrified he sets us back another decade. Yes the Rangers had some Cup runs a decade ago but they didnt win so it means poop.

I would trade Kreider over BUch in a heartbeat ( I understand the $$ and contract differences)! Kreider is a guy I am really down on. He has all the tools to be a dominant player, but simply doesn't do it. IMO Kreider is the biggest disappointment on this entire team

Kreider just has these amazing physical attributes. His hockey skill is low aside from deflections. No hands. shot or passing skill. His speed and size are his biggest strength and should be on display more than they are

Kreider has his plus and minuses. Ive always been on the down of Kreider, not that he doesnt have the skill, its because of his incredibly fragile confidence. When hes on, hes so fking on, but when hes off hes far far far gone for weeks.

I think that's an absurd take on Kreider. He's shown that he is not devoid of skill. My issue with him is his streakiness but they knew that signing him. He's here for a while and we just have to hope he does well.

For me the biggest thing is that for almost 2 well-deserved years we had the security of knowing what was going on and that there was a logical plan being followed. All of that was wiped away in the span of an afternoon. If Dolan can find reason to (frank) with what has been going on, what might he do next when things are less certain???
