I'm proud of them too, but I think the game was an absolute embarrassment to the league. 6 fights in the first 5 minutes clearly shows that the players are policing themselves which is what this league time after time preaches they are against. When Parros gives Wilson the same fine as Hank for squirting Sid with water and then gives Ghost 2 games the next day for a cross check (I don't disagree with this ruling, but context) it shows they have 0 control and I don't blame casual fans for not being more in tune with the game - SkjeiStadium
Oh 100% no doubt the ruling on Wilson was ridiculous. Guy should be suspended until the end of the season including throughout playoffs. |

100 PIM in the first period should be enough for Parros to pack his Mustache and not come back next season. I think he is still too close to being a goon that he can't see the situations clearly. This is exactly what should have happened, except that a Cap, maybe Oshie should have been taken out.
Point proved tonight, good job. |

By now you've read the lyrics, and the song is brilliant. Was on Mudhoney's rarities comp and cracks me up every time I hear it. |

I purposely stayed away to collect my thoughts on today:
1) Anyone that knows me realizes I an a BIG fan of Jeff Gorton. I always was uncomfortable with Drury waiting in the wings, but never thought he would succeed him so soon. Many here keep bringing up Tony D'Angelo, but I believe there is some validity to this theory. When they sent Tony packing, Dolan was stuck paying ADA's full salary for this year and buying him out for next year too. In a COVID world where incoming $$$ are scarce, the D'Angelo blunder was a big strike against both Davidson and Gorton. Couple the D'Angelo $$$ and the nearly $13 mill in buyouts ---- that is a lot of money to be giving away and getting ZERO return for Dolan.
2) None of us will ever know what has gone on behind the scenes. However, the truth is both Davidson and Gorton stated this past offseason that they wanted to make the team harder to play against. They failed to do this, plain and simple. I still don't think they should have been fired, but Dolan clearly saw this differently. The entire Wilson affair just brought to light what many here already knew: This team is simply not tough enough.
3) I really hope that Sather does not have much say in the future of this team. Further, I hope that Messier stays away too. He has ZERO coaching and ZERO front office experience. He is the wrong man for a job here at this time.
4) Losing John Davidson really hurts. He is by all accounts a good man, he communicated with the fans very well and I believe in the vision that he had in putting a team together. I think he deserved at LEAST another year to see the fruits of his labor. We may never know how much or how little input Davidson had in putting out the Parros rebuke. As team President, it does reflect on him in a negative light. What a shame the way this all played out... |

I think the Sather thing is overblown. They said Drury would take over both roles and Sather would act as an advisor. Sather's previous job was senior advisor to the GM. He is keeping the same role. You might as well say JD/JG are fired and Dolan is keeping his same role. |

I want some veteran leadership on this team. Would love a Getzlaf or Kreji added this off-season. They need it badly - Awolff9
Hands off! he's retiring a Bruin.

After seeing Wednesday nights Ranger Caps tilt It appears that Gary Bettman was stealing a page from the Mark Zuckerberg book, Let the peasants have some fun to a certain extent, Tom Wilson wasn't hurt and Isn't now Im guessing Bettman was on the phone all night with the war room In Toronto monitoring every second of the game and controlling It just like the yes boys In stripes calling the game. |

I still can’t believe Dolan agreed to a rebuild and since it wasn’t going fast enough cut the cord after 3 years. He does understand what the word rebuild means right? lol |

I've honestly never rooted for the Rangers a single time in my life. But, tonight that changed. They, as a group, intentionally sent a message to the NHL that needed sent. And, they did it in the loudest way possible on national TV. It was an embarrassment for the NHL...But, for once, an embarrassment that was necessary.
Thank you New York! Hopefully the NHL gets this message and starts to protect ALL of its players. |

Dolan absolutely destroyed my fandom for this team, 37 years of being a fan and I’m utterly embarrassed by this buffoon and his train of thought, he doesn’t understand what a rebuild is, he probably thinks he has it right now because the Knicks are having their best season in 20 years, I hope they fall apart too, F Dolan and everything under that Garden roof, I hope that fat greasy fool dies a long snd painful death |

Listening to Boomer this morning, and he brought up the fact that Dolan was in building April 22nd loss to the Flyers, the night puck went in off of JVR’s face and Dolan was VISIBILY livid that night.
It was on the heels of being pushed around against the Islanders, Martin hit on Trouba
Dolan very concerned about how team was built and Sather has been around a lot lately again.
Seems like Sather is back pulling strings.
The way things have been done the last few years are over.
Personally I don’t think anyone is safe other than Lafreniere and Fox. And the NMC guys.
They could certainly look to build a big tough 4th line now the way some people have hoped. They could go after Eichel.
There isn’t anything out of the question.
Buckle up, stability and sensibility was nice for a few years.
That’s gone. |

I specifically got up early this morning so I could hear what Boomer had to say on the matter. Definitely appears that all patience with the rebuild is completely over and we are going to be making many changes this off-season. I’m all about getting tougher to play against but not at the expense of signing players to ridiculous contracts and mortgaging the future. Drury is about to feel that pressure |
