I think you missed the point greatly - I never said "one mistake leads to a firing" or mentioned cumulative mistakes. Nor did I bring up vacuums.

I was referring to something that's been brought up many times in the past. And I summed it up pretty accurately.

I don’t know man. I don’t think there is a general manager in the history of the league who has piled up mistakes like Jim has. He is at the head of his class.

They are soft like us. They risk getting pummelled themselves with this strategy. Which is why I say sneaky dirty. Even if there's a suspension, season's over. Dress a goon next year to deal with the aftermath.

The Canucks aren't soft, Petey beat the sh*t out of Miller.

I don't think you did, honestly.

"if all GMs and coaches got fired based on the same mistakes JB/Green make - there would be like 5 teams with a coaches/GM employed."

I would argue JB has made many more mistakes/gaffs/changes of plans than any other GM has made during his tenure. Yes, on the whole, every person in charge of something will make mistakes. But the accumulation/volume over his seven years is pretty astounding, especially when it has led the team to where it currently is: another top 10 pick.

If you took your car to a mechanic, and they said it'd need X Y Z new parts and to give them a couple hypothetical weeks to get it back in order, that'd be fine. If then you picked it back up, still wasn't running properly, and took it back to them with their promise to fix it after stripping it down and adding some more parts and a couple other weeks. Then again, pick up, still not running properly, more parts and a couple other weeks. Would you think they're a competent mechanic? Probably not.

*I am fully aware this is a very loose and janky metaphor lol

I would trust the process and be glad that I could take the bus for so long, or better yet, ride my bike and get some exercise. If I ever got my car back that would be a bonus.

I was just thinking, if Jim had an account on Hockey Buzz what would his location say?

Spring is in the air, optimism abounds. I took off the Covid beard today! That’s it, let’s move past this thing.

I have a house in Scottsdale....heading home for the first time in 20 months 🤢. Gave up waiting for Trudeau and his band of idiots to get control of this bs.

I doubt September travel is possible. I’m flying to Phoenix, and whenever I come back into bellingham. You can hire a limo to take you across the border to avoid the hotel stay

Well he is 15 so he may not be done growing...I’d throw Hughes and Elias in the trash if it meant getting him. A few smurfs is ok. A team full of smurfs is not.

Charming.

And this is the difference between places where Covid is rampant and those without.
