One thing I'm confused by . . .I'm 50 and in Hamilton, so everywhere I look it says that I'm good to get Astra Zeneca (because I'm over 40). But there have been no new doses of AZ distributed in Canada since the week of April 5 and the scheduled roll-out doesn't show any provision for when a second dose might be available. Meanwhile, we are going to see a massive influx of Moderna (400k) next week and a massive jump in Pfizer (800k) starting next week and increasing to just under 1million doses each week into July.
I am no interest in getting AZ if there's no clear plan for the acquisition of the second dose and no understanding of the timing. But if Pfizer & Moderna are going to increase the distribution volume, I'm expecting that the age for these will lower from 55+ starting next week, but I've heard nothing. |

Get the first one you can get. If you mix and match the second dose, so be it. |

250K is nothing to the Rangers.
Buchnevich is out for the rest of the season due to injury as reported today.
Last night was a message to Parros. And we probably see him fired after seasons end. - Santo_44

I don't know if you can mix and match, per se. Certainly the approaches of the mRNA vaccines vs. the AZ adenovirus trojan horse are quite different, so I would think that if you have one, you don't boost it with the other - you start over with the other. |

The results are coming in on this question. But in animal trials mixing produced better results.
The key for me is, two weeks after your first shot, you have a stay out of hospital and the morgue card. People on one shot are not getting seriously sick. So why not get that first shot today and sort out the rest later. |

I hope you all have access to them sooner rather than later. The US is ramping up exports from the facilities producing it here, so you should all be seeing an influx shortly, I’d guess.

You do not start over. You get a second dose of a different vaccine, pending the results of the study.
All the vaccines train your body to react to the "spike" protein. They just accomplish this with different mechanisms. I believe you will see the study results show that a second dose of a different type is just as effective.
