Yeah they'd have to be really unlucky not to. But still, the quicker the better. Let them keep climbing the standings to make it less likely they win the lottery

I'm so pumped we have another 1st round pick. I still can't turn the corner of rooting for it to be 32nd overall instead of18th or whatever. Zajac and Palmieri can try for it next season, though Greene surly must be done after this go.

With tonight's results, Vancouver only needs 1 point in their remaining 6 games to pass us. Which would lock us into the 4th best lottery odds and a top 6 pick.

Cup winner is pick 32, cup finalist is puck 31, 2 "conference" finalists are picks 30 and 29, remaining division winners are pick 28 until however many, then its reverse order from the rest of the playoff teams that lose in the first 2 rounds.

So the Isles pick is currently 22, but the Oilers still have 2 games left and are 2 points behind them and own the tiebreaker. The pick can be 21 if the Oilers get 2 more points. So baring any miracle runs, the Isles pick will be 21 or 22 if they lose in the first 2 rounds. It will only drop if they make it to the final 4/"conference finals", in which case it will be in the 29-32 range.

Speaking of those miracle runs, theres a slim chance the pick could become 20 or even into the teens if one or multiple of Nashville, Winnipeg, Montreal, or St Louis make a run to the final 4
