NHL is going to be front and center on social media when someone dies on the ice. It's coming soon. NHL wants this to happen they welcome it and celebrate it.

Game suspensions don't work...NHL should just send players to Columbus for a year.

If he gets anything I’ll be shocked. Would be fine with 1 game but that seems like too much

How is this Crosby thing not a bigger story??? The timing is incredible! The day after Wilson rag dolls Panarin, Sid does the exact same thing! One guy should be hung, and the other guy just carries on with his life, lol

21 games. I remember Dale Hunter.

I still hate the Caps today because of that play. Even though he did it to an Islander!!
Just no place for crap like this.

Far from the same thing. But, it was very poor optics and something should come of it. If they were actually concerned with player safety, that is.

I’m a huge Pens fan and I thought while it wasn’t cool if Wilson gets a fine then Ghost should get nothing at all. Player safety is/was/and looks like it always to be a joke.

He’s arguably our 2nd/3rd best defenseman so the club and fans sh!t on him regularly. It’s Philly. 🤷‍♂️

Given the Wilson decision I can't see Ghost getting anything less than the electric chair. That would make sense in the Bizzaro World that is the Dept of Player Safety. I think Ghost made a stupid decision and gave him a little shove at exactly the wrong time. It wasn't much but but Friedman had (understandably) let his guard down for just a second. Fie for sure and maybe a suspension, but Wilson? Woah. Bad look for the league.

Easy now, it wasn't Kadri, and it's not the playoffs. Nor does Ghost play for the Leafs.
It's all good.

Only difference between this and Dale Hunter is that lack of an injury to Freidman.

Deserves a significant suspension.

That said, No reason to expect anything from the NHL clowns who dont thing Wilson's actions warrant a hearing.

There's more than one difference with the Dale Hunter play. With Hunter, you could count to 4 or 5 one thousand, slowly, after Turgeon scored, and while Turgeon was skating with his arms in the air celebrating, Hunter blindsided him and slammed him into the boards dislocating his shoulder and knocking him out of the playoffs (where the Isles lost in 6 games in the semi-finals to the eventual Cup-winning Habs, with a couple of OTLs).

I agree that this deserves a suspension - there's no place for stuff like that after a goal, but it's a minor league version of what Hunter did, at best.

Parros is a disgrace. A true piece of sht. This wouldn’t even have been looked at had it not been for the fck up the other night. Bettman get ur head out of ur asz. Is there any way we can rent reaves for tonight’s game? Maybe someone needs to pull a mcsorley on Wilson and take his head off.

How ironic would it be if Ghost misses the two upcoming Flyers games in Washington, and Wilson plays in them with his usual over the line barbarian antics? Yes, NHL, use Ghost a the poster boy on how serious the League is about dangerous plays being eliminated. SMH

Reason #1 why the Flyers have to make some big changes this offseason.

I mean if any team in the NHL could get him for free they would beat each other with sticks to swoop in to take him...oh wait. Must be a "Philly" thing. Only in Philly can a player suck balls for twice as many years as they had good years and someone is willing to make excuses for them.

Should start calling him the Ghost of AMac.

To be fair, the good people of Philadelphia know more about sucking balls then anywhere else. They are player ball sucking aficionados if you will....

This absolutely should have a hearing and a suspension because that kind of hit is dangerous and belongs nowhere in the sport. What I do not like is the inconsistency. If they do suspend here they are penalizing the action, not the result which is EXACTLY how it SHOULD operate. Wilson deserved a suspension because his action of pushing down on a guy, hitting him in the back/head while his stick is around the guys throat and he is prone on the ice is a dangerous play that doesn't belong in the sport. Similarly a MMA takedown by the back of a guys jersey or hair, after flipping his lid off, risking splitting the guys head on the ice SHOULD be suspended. I'm even going to say that Panarin deserves a suspension, jumping onto a guys back even to try and defend your player is not warranted. Even Crosby punching/pushing a guys head into the ice (I realize he was responding to the head lock he was put in) is something that crosses the line to suspendable offence in my book.
- TopShelf66

Finally, a Pens fan that sees it right. Ghost should probably get a 1 game or something - stupid play.

Tom Wilson gets to laugh it off and continue his ways even though he has a history. That is a total joke. He should be suspended for quite some time. I laugh when I hear when people say that Wilson not a malicious player and that isn't his trait. Yeah he has skill, but news flash, he does do cheap shots. He has a history or else no one would be mentioning it as much. An over large rat that cheap shots people often to hurt.

Sydney Crosby gets to smack people's heads into the ice - nothing to see here move along. Sure I realize Konecny had Crosby in a headlock, but Crosby should have gotten up and just punched TK in the face, not slam his head into the ice a few times. Especially with his own concussion issues.

The Rangers are spot-on, Paros and Campbell must go. Horrible guidelines on what is and what isn't worthy of a "hearing". When they went to leadership training they must have really listened to the part about Management by Douchebaggery.

It’s been too long the league has looked the other way, I hope all hell breaks loose at the Ranger game tonite, maybe if something big enough happens it will be the start of change ?
