Yeah, but I don’t think it matters to be honest unless WSH loses one of their last three.

I keep thinking about avoiding Boston and it really doesn’t matter. If the Pens get the Isles in round 1 and advance, they’ll still likely have to face Boston in round two.

It's crazy how many possibilities there still are with so few games left. The Pens and Caps could poop the bed allowing Boston to leapfrog into first.

My thoughts in wanting Isles in the 1st have nothing to do with avoiding any team. 1. Revenge on the Ises for our 1st rd sweep and 2. I really want to watch a Caps Bruins series, because it will be violent

Can't disagree with that rationale.

I love what the rags did. Do they have anyone tough to actually send a message, with Kreider out no, but (frank) it. Let’s say Wilson took rag dolled Sid and no one did a damn thing I’d be choked. I’d want 6 fights in the first 5 minutes. I’d want Jarry to go punch vanacek in the Richard. Even if it’s blueger starting poop with sheary. Point is that they have his back. No pen could win a fight vs Wilson but I’d hope someone would cheap shot him or just man up and take the L. It says I’d the lg won’t do poop at least we will stand up for each other, that’s the purpose. We have each other. Plus ratings.

Not sure if he’s an nhl player or not, but I have to say I really respect lafferty & his apparent lack of give a funk. If ur not afraid to go at chara & Wilson, u are either really stupid, or have some serious sack. I’d guess a blend of both.

Over under on the hockey Karen blog incoming. I wish people that don’t like hockey just didn’t watch it. The game isn’t going to cater to your sensibilities.

I agree with wanting to play the isles but I think the isles physically would play the caps much harder. Starting with a Trotz mentality that they have. Ross Johnston is one of the toughest in the league that can and is willing to scrap Wilson at any time. Martin and mayfield aren’t lightweights either at 225lbs each. Clutterbuck, cizikas and pulock I’m sure we all know love playing the body at every chance.

Part of the higher ratings are from people tuning in that don't actually like or follow hockey much but wanted to see some WWE action on ice, basically.

I figured you would of thought that was a joke last night, a lame one at that.

Ross Johnson is a poopty fighter. The majority of his fights he is jumping on a guy and throwing punches before his opponent has his gloves off. Not to mention he throws pillow fists.

Not sure why I care but calling him one of the toughest in the league is like calling Joe Thornton one of the fastest.

I think the ratings are more from fans of the other teams in the league that follow the league closely and knew of the incoming poop show but may not catch a ton of other teams games. If you don't care about hockey, you're still not going to care just because some goon gooned it up, imo.

Grinder, and I mean this very respectfully, how are you a Pens fan? The Pens have never been a rough and tumble team, not even in the 70's...
- Beatnic57

They were very physical in the late seventies and early eighties. '81-'82 they lead the league in penalties with Paul Baxter, Pat Price and Pat Boutette.

I agree and that's why I said "part of". I do think however, if you didn't follow or care about hockey but your friends or family gave you what you think, and everyone thinks, is going to happen in a nutshell you'd tune into see...especially if you're into WWE, MMA, Boxing, etc or just violent sh!t in general, which many, many are that are not hockey fans.

I wasn't going to watch that game without that drama haha. I would have checked in on the scores to see if the caps were losing but that's about it. The game was on NBCSN. They knew what they were doing haha

Hopefully MM not out for too long. He was expected week to week and shouldn’t be skating yet but is skating with Hennés. Also read he did not need to go for a surgery.

My gut tells me he'll be back for the playoffs wearing a full face shield.

Pens signed Valterri Puustinen. I know I’ve said it last year and this year in here but I think this kid is gonna be a steal for a 7th round pick and could be quite good. Definitely small but he’s got speed, a good shot and can make plays look easy. I only got to watch about 15-20 games of him this year but I think he’s got middle 6, 40 point potential.

I don't think Laffarty is a full time NHL player, but I agree, gotta give him credit. He usually does what's necessary in an attempt to stay in the league.....fearless hard forechecking. The minute he slows down and starts avoiding hits will be his last minute in the NHL.
