Just need Philly to do us a solid. That could be a lot to ask for though

Huge solid to ask with how Philly has played.

FYI, Zucker has 5 points in his last five games. 2G 3A.

Yea, if we had to pick one team not in the playoffs to beat the Caps, it wouldnt be the Flyers lol.

Flyers beat Washington in their first game in February and have gotten smacked by the Caps in the next 5. The only plus is that its hard to win 7 straight games against an opponent. Need the Flyers at the very least to get 2 points and make the Boston/Washington game mean something.

We can only hope that Philly has a chip on their shoulder with nothing to lose but their pride. It's a nice thought lol

I don't think it's just points. He looks so much faster and aggressive on the forecheck. He is driving the net and being physical. He looks like the player we traded for. I think it's only a matter of time before he and Kapanen create the open ice for Geno to just take over and do his thing.

If Geno finds his stride that could be a very dangerous line.

I was ready to think of this as a throwaway year.

Watched some of the under 18 Worlds and my God there is some big time talent coming up.
Connor Bedard destroyed it as a 15 year old. Michov and Wright also extremely talented.

Bedard and Michov are eligible for the 23 draft, wouldn't be upset if we had a ball in the lottery that year. Heck, I'd trade for some protected 22 picks in hopes of rolling over.

They just really miss his overall energy and presence.

He’s overrated. Just a bum that hits people.

Overall last night the Pens played an incredible game. It was really domination on both ends of the ice. The only issues were a couple of costly breakdowns and maybe a couple of goals Jarry wants back.

Against one of the worst teams in NHL history though haha...I agree with Grinder's earlier comment that basically it would of been better to close out the season against stiffer competition. Going to be a big jump from Sabres to their round 1 opponent, whoever it is.

Glad to see it. I like Zucker's game even though the production hasn't been there. I had confidence a guy with his track record and a .95 PDO would get going eventually.

So Taylor who?

Looks like Carter is turning into an amazing addition that's giving them a legit 3rd scoring line.

I disagree. I don’t want them playing intensely. I want them to remain healthy for game 1. Get the lineup we haven’t once saw this year.

I agree. Cheap pickup. I can’t believe how fast he can skate. Having that centre/wing versatility is nice. But I think it’s his hockey iq that allows him to meld so well with his line vs a 1 dimensional less experienced winger who may or may not need the right centreman to elevate him.

Because of the re-emergence of McCann and a surprise in Gaudreau, the Pens had a lot of different ways they could have addressed their needs: winger for Geno, upgrade at 3C, upgrade 3rd line wing, etc..., and there were a lot of x-factors like where does McCann go when Geno returns, what do you do with Zucker, etc...

Ultimately this was a great choice to this point and if Zucker continues to find his game, it will look even better.

I also don't think can mention enough how huge Gaudreau has been. I really haven't followed him at all. I don't know what his story has been, why he's been in the AHL, but man, if he can keep this up he is a HUGE steal.

Yeah there's certainly an argument for that as well. Actually, last night I was thinking with the score as high as it was a few of the Pens players were engaging a bit too much this close to playoffs haha
