That seems right up my alley. I trained (stand up and ground) for 20+ years, but have been out of it for a few. Only ever wore a gi if attending a traditional seminar.
I did actually attend a 2-day Gracie seminar in Toronto back around 1995 or so. It was pretty awesome. Actually got to roll with Royce! Like wrestling a wet noodle with the desire to strangle you!!

That's crazy and cool. I rolled a bit in university but I'm useless. I mostly know Eddie from Rogan and his batpoop crazy conspiracy stuff, but rubber guard was a big intro and to gi or not to gi became a big thing due to him. But he's out there man

It just didn't work out for them. You see, Kevin got her pregnant and Winnie wanted a career in multi-lingual studies abroad. She took a pill from a shady company called "Secondary Solutions" which made her very ill but she gave birth anyway. She moved to Canada and named the baby Noah_U. Kevin read about his sons life on a Hockey site and later killed himself. Dark times.

That's it right there. Also BJJ is great but if that's your only discipline, street fighting isn't going to do you a lot of favours if the opponent has any game to him
