There's a big difference between solid, physical play, and asinine goonery, Snowflake. There's a place in the good ol'hockey game for one, and a place in "Sports Entertainment" for the other.
And if you're going to go after the writer, at least learn how to spell her name, first.

- Darksyde

The media is doing a garbage job showing the entire situation. Buchnevich stuck the goalie while the puck was clearly covered, then cowered and played dead. Is that the new tactic this league should endorse? Just stick the goalie and play dead and you are invicible?

And did you not see Panarin jump on Wilsons back? Fight a bear and you might now like the results. Sorry Wilson is stronger and bigger, but if you ask me, he took it easy on panarin. He could have dropped his mitts and done some serious damage.

This is occasionally part of a hockey game Karin.
Buch started, Pán should have known better.
Don't poke a bear....

If you don't like it, go watching flag football with rest of Libs

- kastr99

Buch started what? A follow up play for a puck in the crease with no violence. Yeah, that's called Hockey.

What should Pan have known better? You stick up for your team mates when they are getting attacked. That's also Hockey.

For the record, I love the fighting. This was not a fight, or a scrum or anything related to Hockey. It was a lunatic with a proven history of violent acts attacking a player from behind, then slew foot pivot/hair pulling a player head first to the ice. Maybe you're the one that should watch flag football since you don't understand Hockey.

Rangers players shouldn't have started what they can't finished. Don't hunt what you can't kill because the hunters becomes the hunted.

Wow. That's profound. Are you a Buddhist monk with that wisdom?
BTW, what the Rangers players "started" was going after a puck that was lose on the goal line. They should all be ashamed, I guess.

This is ridicules. Buchnevich is a big boy who jabbed at a covered puck, flopped and played dead while Wilson fed him a shot with his glove on. Then a tiny Panarin jumps on his back, and Wilson throws him off and rag dolls him (again with his gloves off). I had zero issue with Wilson, and lets not forget that he is fine with answering the bell. The fact that this team didn't have any willing combatants, then cried to the league while calling for Parros' head is just sad. Makes your team look like a bunch of softies. What is someone supposed to do when Panarin jumps on their back? Wilson is bigger, stronger, and it showed.

Maybe if Buchnevich used his 6'3" 210lbs to his advantage rather then sticking the goalie and then playing dead, none of this would have happened.

Wilson only "answers the bell" against finesse players - go watch the vid where he turtles when Matt Martin comes to him. He's a coward and a cheap shot artist.

Not sure why I'm bothering because you are clearly an idiot who is incapable of learning any sort of moral lesson, but...
The puck was clearly not covered. It was sitting against Vanacek's left pad, just in front of the goal line. And strike 2, Buch kicked at the puck (not the goalie as some have alleged). He never got a stick near it. And for strike 3, I love how apparently although he is so much bigger and stronger there was only one option for Wilson and that was to intend serious injury on a guy he could have simply held and laughed at.

I wish 3 strikes meant that you are out of here, but unfortunately it's a free country for mooks who don't understand evolution, too.

Strome jump on Wilson back, Panarin jump on his back too. If both didn't jump, nothing would have started. 1 punch for whacking and hacking, that's it.

You have to pick your times to fight. He fought chara, he has fought many heavyweights. Not that it matters because your only heavy's are Kreider and Buch.

Let's see if your superior multi-lingual intellect can connect the dots:

Why did Strome do that?

Why did Panarin do that?

You also may need to actually watch the videos and re-assess your "starting point" of these actions if you think Strome and Panarin started this.

Ugly brawl? I enjoyed It, I was thoroughly entertained, It's nice to be reminded of chaotic 80s hockey once In awhile. The good ole days. Ever since Bettman took over the NHL has become watered down milk toast pedestrian hockey.

Clearly you know more about baseball than hockey. Maybe stick to your Yankees/Mets and absolutely avoid any AHL or ECHL hockey, as it is an absolute battlefield out there.

Evolution of hockey? He got an appropriate punishment. Move on bud. He had every right to drop the mitts and do some serious damage the second Panarin jumped on his back.
