I think it's time for GARY "THEMIDGET" Bettman to RESIGN HIS POSITION NOW!!! He does not do anything in his position to stop Wilson or this type of crap!! He has taken fighting out of the game where this type of stuff keeps happening, we all know that he hates fighting because his little boy got his butt kicked in a peewee game!! The midget (all 5'2'') running this sport is an out and out disgrace!! - IBleedBlu1

Attempted humour ? - Heywood Jablome
Since we watch you fail over and over again in your attempts at humour I can see how you wouldn't find that funny. As with everything on here, it likely says more about you than anything else. But keep trying. Keep failing. Go create a new alt. Continue to fail. Rinse and repeat. It's comically pathetic but seriously, keep trying |

the league doesn't care about head injuries and should become bankrupt from concussion lawsuits down the line
the lack of action here proves that |

League, NHLPA...they are all at fault here.
Fines, suspensions...they all go through the NHL and the NHLPA. That's why the maximum amount for a fine is 5000$. That's the amount the players and the players agreed on, so they are fine with it.
As long as both parties don't make changes, they will keep looking like a clown league. |

I think when Parros suspend players, all the suspension get reduce in appeal. |

As French pointed out, a 40ish point guy making over $5m a year is the PA's poster boy and they'll protect him with everything they have. A lot of politics here. Shocking |

No Habs blog anymore? - Symba007
This story is bigger than the Habs. It's bigger than hockey. Everything must bow down to the alter of suspension debates
Habs blog. They play the Sens tonight. Lineup will be listed around 11. If they win they may be able to pass the Jets for 3rd. If they lose little happens as Van and Cal are both likely too far out but nothing is guaranteed. Caufield is short, not sure anybody mentioned that before but you'll notice it with him on the top line. Weber is injured and practicing with a left shot stick because he's the man mountain, greatest leader in the free hockey world and he'll do whatever he can to play for his team despite the fact it'll likely make the Habs worse. Keep your thoughts on Drouin to yourself. Should the Habs sign Danault? Not sure that's been discussed yet. Kotkaniemi is playing C again, what a crazy yet logical idea. Staal is useless but faceoffs are still a thing. Evans is looking good but should shoot more. Romanov can be an adventure with the puck sometimes. The Habs miss Galagher. You're welcome. Insert Habs logo in thumbnail.
Karine's would have been better but you're welcome nonetheless |

1. Wilson is a dirty dirty player with a history of being an idiot.
2. He threw a couple punches at Buch’s head? Nope. Threw a punch and hit him in the shoulder blade.
3. Buch was defenceless, yes. So a punch to back of head would have been egregious. But it was to shoulder. Maybe a game cause it’s Wilson.
4. Roughing up one of the best players in league - terrible and worth of a game just out of principle. Breaks code. But not based on actions alone.
5. Wilson is scummy. Hate him.
6. Kept gloves on and rag dolled an opposing player that jumped on his back as a third man in. That player happened to be Panerin (one of best in league) so I agree, not great. If he did what he did to Panerin to a less talented player - kept gloves on, wrestled to ice, (they both) threw a couple gloves to face washes/punchish, tried to jersey with gloves on pushed back, etc., not suspension worthy. I have seen much much worse, just not on a player as good as Panerin...at least recently.
7. Technically, and I have ZERO issue with it, if you watch the very end, you see Panerin throw a gloves off punch to the back of Wilson’s head when Wilson is in vulnerable position.
8. Again, I would’ve suspended him for a game and fined him (more than 5K) because he’s a reckless player. But they look at the actual ‘infractions’ first - them the name. Maybe wrong for sure but based on that...?
9. Wilson will most likely hurt someone very soon because he has zero respect. - Big23Questions
How is it 3rd man in when there was no fight going on, it was a scrum. I did not see Panarin throw 1 punch, saw Wilson knock his helmet off, and then try to Triple H him head first into the ice. |

i believe with Vancouver's loss last night Montreal can actually clinch a spot with a win tonight. but it would require Winnipeg beating Calgary.

They league can suspend Wilson all they want, he wont learn. Brandon Carlo is still out from when Wilson slammed him head first into the boards. He was suspended for that one, but was it enough? Clearly he did not learn from that or the previous suspensions. maybe its time for the league to make an example of him and say that wilson is suspended for the rest of this season and post season. he needs to complete a psychological evaluation to determine if he is fit to play in order to apply for re-instatement. the capitals own responsibility here too. they could fine/ suspend him as well.. is his behavior acceptable in their view? |

Habs are 10 points ahead and Calgary has 6 games remaining.
Nothing short of an epic collapse from Montreal or Winnipeg and Calgary winning every game they have left could put them in the playoffs. |

Yeah, I don't know what videos some people are watching.
Am I biased? You bet your sweet ass. But, I always try to see things from a place where I'm aware of my bias and adjust my view accordingly. For the record, I have watched 4 different videos, many times each.
The punch (yes, it was only one) on Buchnevich was not to his shoulder. His head was turned and the punch landed right beside the plastic of his helmet by the earhole. While it may have made contact with his shoulder, that was certainly not the target and he did contact his face.
Does anyone seriously think an animal like Wilson would target a non-threatening area of the body?
Also, while throwing the punch he pulled up on his stick which was on the underside of Buch's neck, creating more severe pressure.
We all know what was wrong against Panarin. But, I will say that I watched 4 times specifically looking at the other "combatants" and no other person on the ice threw a single punch. Not one.
Someone tell me how anything he did can be justified?????
