What do you expect?
It's been 100 years, and they still can't develop a cooties vaccine.
When my daughter was in daycare, there were huge outbreaks.
And don't bother telling me your home remedies: wearing red, white and blue doesn't work. Crossing your fingers doesn't work. - Atomic Wedgie
Crossing your fingers DOES work. It is poorly understood. You can't cross your fingers after the fact and you can't cross your legs or feet or eyes or anything else, that is just an old wive's tale.
I would expect that you would have prepared your kids properly Wedgie.

Agreed, 100% fact. I heard that was what Komarov did when Marchand licked him

I could see Jack Campbell falling into depression after a bad GLG.

It's funny - we all laugh at how the vast majority of good goalies are weirdos (Dryden) or arseholes (Tommy Bararsehole, Belfour - hell, I could list 1,000).
But I truly believe you need that to play that position. You need to be unshakeable in your confidence.
I read a really interesting article about Mike Weir. He had the reputation of being a wienerly arsehole - always blaming someone other than himself for things that went wrong. Apparently that was intentional - his sports psychologist came up with it so that he wouldn't wallow in self-misery and doubt - he could move forward by blaming everyone but himself. |

Best vaccine is the first one you can get.
Got my appointment for AZ in a week - TheMussel
agreed, and mine was almost 4 weeks ago.
The message today is causing people to ask whether or not they got tricked into a lesser vaccine, and people 50-60 wondering why it was OK for them to get the "dangerous" vaccine. These are valid questions. The statements today were irresponsible. |

I fear the Leafs losing a heartbreaker early in the series, and then beating themselves with self-doubt. - Atomic Wedgie

I like it.
Patrick Roy was completely full of himself and a bumhole, but there was never any doubt in his mind he could win the whole (frank)ing thing.
Best goaltender I've ever seen.

They need to add incentive.
For males 50+, say that 1 in 100 vaccines will also have some Viagra in it.
For males 20-30, 1 in 100 will have some anabolic steroids. |

Ahhh (frank), I did not know that. I didn't mean to come off sounding like a complete douche knozzle. Was just spouting off a bit of frustration. Sorry about that.. Wish all my best to you, your wife and family.

Only 5.5 million doses have been administered and most of that will be 70 plus year olds and people in the hot spots.
Still 10 million without their first dose. |

On the golf course or in all aspects of life?
Makes sense why he would be divorced if he was an ahole the entire time. |

It's so franking long ago now, but my recollection of 1986 was that he was the only reason they won that cup. |

Yeah, no.
I'm not going to get into his personal life on a public forum (and truth be told, my info is not exactly 1st hand knowledge) but you should consider that he got full custody of his kids.
It's not a happy story. |

Tam gave us a hint of when "normalcy" might return. 75% single dose and 20% double dose. In Ontario that means 13.9M doses need to get injected.
So about 8.5M to go.
Wildcard - In the US (and other countries) they're really starting to see vaccination rates dropping due to anti-vac and hesitancy. In Canada they estimated about 10-16% of the pop'n might refuse vaccination. considering kids aren't approved (15% of pop'n) it's possible that we don't get to 75%.
Bottom line - we'll be hitting those thresholds by end of June. Patio season should be open so we can watch the Leafs hoist the Cup in July. |

My wife told me what she's cooking the rest of the week - including fish taco's on Saturday night.
Why haven't I eaten the (frank)ing fish taco's!
*This message is solely for the purposes of dramatic point making ...I'm the family chef especially on fish taco night. |

ah ok, i understood 5million - but it's 16million doses.
early july 40million doses, so 15-18 million people fully vaccinated.
I guess you guys can plan holidays in August. - MaximusAurelius
17M received ....14M injected.
30M more coming over the next 8 weeks. Next hurdle is to ramp up injections over those 8 weeks.
In Ontario we need to get from ~100k per day up to ~150k+ per day really soon.
If we do we'll all be single dosed by Mid-June and Double dosed by late summer. |

yes, just saw that.
novavax is only arriving end of 2021...
short term, governments should just one-dose all people. |
