Panarin was so close to having his head slammed into the ice by the hair pull drag down, that could have literally caused a death - if his shoulder had not hit the ice first. It blows my mind that the clown in Player Safety does not recognize the significance of this non suspension.

For this reason the acceptability of such antics has onerous longevity in the NHL. Unless the owners sternly decide to embrace eradication of senseless violence, and instead embrace pre-1970's sensibilities toward such incidents, players like Wilson will remain an integral part of the game. In this case, the Rangers players will need to rely on "the code" to address this situation.

Pretty telling that the Rangers are calling for Parros to be fired due to dereliction of duties, something that has basically never happened as far as i know. Goes to show how out of the ordinary the situation is and how out of touch some media and fans are on this one. Extremely dangerous play with no regard for the safety of a fellow player, stuff like this desperately needs to be addressed.

Flyers have Morin when he is not injured. Although their coach is a pacifist who does not really seem to believe in fighting or even hitting, so not sure if that matters. Speaking of the Flyers when the big bad bruins used to run around and create havoc, the Flyers would dump it in Orrs corner and unleash mayhem.

I would leave Wilson alone. I would not touch him. However, I would run Carlson all day. Over and over. Then OV. That’s how you make Wilson crazy. His ego will get the better of him and he will take bad penalties.

Rangers have nothing to play for now. To be clear, I loathe the Rangers, but Wilson is an absolute pot and the blue shirts should make sure that a few of the caps best players don’t see the playoffs either. That’s how you address a Tom Wilson.

I think that with the rematch game the Ranger's have against the Capitals, on NBC someone on the Rangers needs to take out Ovie for the playoffs because of the demented moron Tom Wilson!

Tom Wilson was hired by the KGB to take out Panarin for the season. The Russians on the Caps are loyal to Putin. That’s the only explanation.

Got to be honest, I see nothing wrong with what Wilson did to Panarin. That was heat of the moment ass kicking. The thug shots to Buch are another story.

However, IMO the NHL's most entertaining era was the 1980s and early 90s. We have a pale shadow of that now from an entertainment standpoint. If this helps lead the way back to daily brawls and 1980s style play I'm all for it.
