The NHL will need to sell tickets as the pandemic ends. Bench clearing brawls like from the 1960's would help. Tom Wilson would be an important guy in starting them. - RickJ
He should be suspended for the rest of the year, including the playoffs.
Not a bigger piece of crap in the game. |

But the league let Todd Bertuzzi back in....if anyone deserved a lifetime ban it should have been him.

Without replacement on the 18-skater roster.
Start punishing the team - the coaches and teammates will stop the problem after a while of realizing they will be a man short during any suspension. |

I wish I could see the 5 year vision for this team but what I see is questions & no answers.
- Questionable Goaltending ?
- Questionable Coaching Staff ?
- Aging Core in Toews- Keith & Kane ?
- Farm system that's far from deep ?
- A GM capable of leading a rebuild ?
Hawks have some exciting young players but 5 years out where are we ?

This is the f'n NHL not the Dept. of Justice or Supreme Court. Colin Campbell will arrange to have Wilson suspended for the balance of the regular season so he is well rested to start the playoffs. |

Aww, you so dislike the villains in the game.
Wilson plays dirty and is willing to hurt people to win. The Hawks could use somebody like that. And I'm guessing most of the Chicago fans would approve if Wilson was looking after Toews, Kane, ADB or Dach and gave them more room to operate on the ice. |

Doesn’t make the fans right - or Wilson a good asset for the league OR any team.
It’s not villains I mind - lots of villains are tough players who are fun to watch.
It’s thugs I want out of the league.

Cap space. Move deHaan, Strome, and Z. Gain $10 mil in cap space. Everything or anything else is gravy. |

Hey Colby. I doubt you are going to get many here that will say otherwise. I try not to be a hypocrite with all the complaining I do about how they are playing vs. the patience that I recommend everyone take with this team (I'm human after all).
When I look at what this team is doing right now, I see the staff/FO trying to sort through who is going to be a player, and who is going to be an asset. Lots of different combinations, and lots of substitutions. I'm specifically looking at the D. They have so many prospects there that they are going to have to flip some of them. Who can play in what situations? Who can competently play their off-side, who has the best play recognition, etc.
The forwards, I think, just are what they are right now. If I was to place a bet, 2/3 of them would likely be gone or not playing on the big team in the next two years. They don't really have a guy that is playing the center position at even average ability.
I wouldn't get too worked up about the coaching staff right now. They are just paying a low salary to a guy that has a good connection to the players. When they get closer to competitive, I'd bet they make a notable change.
I'm sure there are detractors, but I think Stan is actually doing a pretty good with building up the roster. It's a longer process than we all want to admit.

Addition by subtraction. Strome is only an asset on the power play, but may get us a third, some like Zadorov’s hitting and his size, so maybe some GM takes him, a bag of pucks will do. |

Awwww time to embrace the tank this phony baloney season is a joke and never should have been played . It was good to see some young players step up for the HAWKS Hagel is a great find . If there is anytime to tank the next 2 years see some generational talents coming up .Couple more years HAWKS will sign a big FA or Two to fill the wholes development and drafting could not . |

I don't t think Wilson will be suspended I take him or a player of his ilk It was ok for Gretzky to skate around breaking records with Semenko and McSorly running players over . This league is so soft now |
