I’ve never advocated for GG.
That said, Elliotte Friedman wrote some interesting things about Rod Brind’Amour. Signed only through next season, has not signed an extension.
It seems Rod also wants extensions for all his coaching staff, plus the training and equipment staff. Everyone ‘s deal is up after 21-22.
As Friedman explains, the odds are with Brind’Amour resigning with Carolina, but there are teams that “would like to back up the Brinks truck” to steal him away from Carolina.
Brind’Amour has the 6th highest winning percentage in NHL history of coaches with at least 200 games.
Does Stan have the balls to be one of the guys lusting after Brind’Amour? - scottak
Rod's not going anywhere. They've all said they've agreed to go back to it after the season ends.
Good on him for putting his ass on the line to go to bat for the team staff though. Guaranteed Tom Dundon thought he could save some money on those guys.

less than Hamilton.
Both sides are talking bridge deal until the cap starts going up. So probably 6-6.5 for 3 or 4 years. |

Was wondering after the offer sheet to Aho if Dundun would try the low ball again.

Also:
Jeremy Colliton said he expects Collin Delia to get at least one start in the final five games of the season. #Blackhawks - Chunk
JC also said that it has been cleared with the league and Delia will be wearing a retractable lanyard with an 8 foot maximum leash attached to the goal.

i think he's going to do it 100% of the time.
Not sure it has anything to do with his actual cash flow, it just seems to be the way he approaches anything that he considers a business transaction. |

- Rota's Rooter Good to be at least OSHA approved. Just tighten the leg straps well enough or just one pull will have you singing soprano!

Could always go old school. NHL hall of famer turned minor pro coach Eddie Shore used a special "stand up" drill on his Springfield Indians puck stoppers. Old Eddie would actually tie a rope to the cross bar, wrap it around the goalie's neck, and if he went down once, the poor guy would strangle himself into refraining from going to his knees a second time.

Jesper Fast might slot in for CAR, which would likely push Drew Shore out of the lineup.
Svechnikov-Aho-Teravainen has combined for 14 points in 3 games since TT returned from his concussion. - BINGO!
No one cares. Those are pretty numbers for a team that is gonna get bounced in the 1st round by Nash. Unless the Canes can match their hacking and whacking .Clutching and grabbing. |

You think the Union will allow that? They will sit out before taking less money! 1 or 2 years at most.

Meh.
Hack away. Half the preds team can't (frank)ing skate so it doesn't matter. I'll consider not having to face FLA or Tampa in round one a win.
Also that's what those poopheads Paquette, Martinook and McGinn are for. |

The cap won't go up until the players pay back their escrow. They are only getting paid about 3 out of 4 dollars now. I think the players hate the escrow and just want to be done with it.

the way I read it, it should get boosted when Hockey Related Revenue hits $4.8 billion.
During the last full season, what constituted HRR was $3.3 billion. The new TV deal will help because that DOES count, but it's gonna take a while.

Correct, the contract will help, another team in Seattle (although the franchise fee does not count). Question is, do the fans pack the buildings again? (if they are even allowed to by the start of next season).

Subban can only do so much, but he deflected that one. Not a good start here. |

That’s 3 goal-line shots that Subban has somehow let in in his last two starts, IIRC.
I’ve been against it - but maybe it IS time to look at Delia again. |
