Canucks trolls quiet as a mouse. How many minutes before Benning and Green get the boot?

I had a laugh in the offseason. I still had Canuck fans telling us 4 players 40 miliion nonsense. I had to break it to them they were spending 40 million on 4th liners, scratches and retired players.

When I lived in Edmonton the “rule” was don’t plant until after the May long weekend. I guess once you get closer to the US end of the province the climate is more agreeable.

In Toronto you can plant on May 1st, there's rarely frost in May. The May 24 cutoff is playing it safe. That extra three weeks of growth pays off large by harvest.

Am I the only one who cares about Aaron's health?

Don't do it buddy! It's not worth it!

I think Green should be kept but Benning is the worst GM in hockey.

There is a few in the West. Wilson is on the cusp. Depending what he does at the draft.

Murray in Anaheim is trending to horrible.

Don’t put peppers in til mid June though. They really need the ground to be warm. I’m just assuming you guys aren’t all referring to lettuce of the electric variety

Yeah Edmonton may as well be the north pole.

The Lethbridge / Medicine Hat area gets the most sunny days per year in Canada, Aurora was building the biggest pot farm in the world in Medicine Hat for just that reason, they abandoned it during the pandemic and now there's a vacant greenhouse for sale the size of 27 football fields.

Can grow anything early in this area, barely any rain is the challenge.

I've grown tons of the superhot peppers, reapers, scorpions, ghosts and so on, they did fine in May. They do like it hot though. My best yields were in hot summers where they can dry out between waterings.

I really miss that dry Alberta air. I’m planning a cross Canada road trip post COVID. Gonna spend some time in southern Alberta/Montana.

Alberta is beautiful man. We used to drive to Jasper on a regular basis. My wife would spend all day in the shops and I would spend the day just walking around.

I had no luck putting them out in May. June plantings for me worked out well though. It’s good to know that you’re doing well with the May plantings. I don’t grow many peppers. Just a row of chillis to crush and ferment. I grow a lot of romaine, eggplants and cherry tomato. Just a few beans and onions as well. If anyone is looking for a great cherry tomato, Sunsugar are the absolute sweetest I’ve had. Just an FYI

It’s going down to 3 or 4. Won’t that kill or harm lettuce, tomatoes, cucs plants? I’m all set to go.

Not the lettuce, that's a cool weather plant. It'll be good. Probably won't hurt the other things either if it's above zero. You're fridge is typically at 2 degrees, and I've had herbs from the store that were in the fridge for a while that I then took out and rooted and grew. Plants are resilient as (frank) if they don't freeze.

3 games against the scabs this week and then possibly a 7 game series.

wonder if the games get feisty like the 'peg games, since the leafs are a dirty team and jumbo is a pest now

If the Habs can manage to win 2 of those games, they have a shot at finishing turd.

And even if they stick to 4th, they need to show they can compete with the Leafs before the playoffs.

Still no Price/Weber/Gallagher/Tatar though.
