pretty sure the sabres are doing anything but a 2 year deal on reinhart so by signing those 2 to those bigger deals early on, all they guaranteed themselves is 1 more year of their star player and payed them more then they had to early on

Of course he would have to be amenable to that as well

They frequently are very close to accurate.

The reason a 5 year deal would make sense for Reinhart is he'll be 30 when that deal is over which would put him in line for another potential pay day.

Yeah, the 5 year deal is where it's at. That takes him to 30 at the end. Works great for me.

Anything shorter than 3 years and the Sabres should just trade him now.
