Underachieving...the lines...place shooters with the best playmakers...I call BS on placing players in the best position to succeed.

On the positive side, I think Lindblom and Allison looked good again together. Also, nice shoot Farabee!

I have no more words.

The stats just keep getting worse for these sad sacks. Their team save percentage was .870 going into the game tonight. That is not only the worst in the league, but the worst in 20 frigging years in the NHL. Oh, and Elliot's save percentage for tonight was a whopping .810, so their SP is worse now. Anyone who thinks that the goalies get a pass this season are seriously misguided! Elliot is one of many that need to be shown the door this off season. Oh, and Caufield scored the game winner for the Habs tonight, but wienerhead Chucky passed on him TWICE cause he didn't think the Flyers needed a dynamic scorer!

Does anyone else wish Hextall was permitted to finish his sage rebuild. It seems his predecessors penchant to rush prospects has hampered their development. It a shame to see all of the assets floundering under the failed Fletcher/Vignault duumvirate.

What were we waiting for every prospect to be 25? He failed, he failed miserably. The prospects just weren’t that good

Your argument is ghost is having a good year...he’s not. His offensive numbers are not good for a player that is somewhat of a liability in his own end. Guys having “good” years are not healthy scratches and most certainly do not clear waivers. Myers in the press box is because of his own struggles. It’s not because of Ghost having a good year....the other poster suggested in his original post ghost has had the backing of other dmen covering for his mistakes in the past but still suggested he has not been good. I personally don’t think that’s an excuse for his struggles.
Yes ghost has been better then his abysmal season a year ago, but to suggest he’s had a good year is dumb...dumb beyond belief...but apparently par for the course where your concerned.

Wow....

Ok, let me start by asking if you’re aware that Ghost carries a 4.5 million dollar contract and good teams cannot just simply pick up a 4.5 million dollar contract mid season. No team wants to add salary. Let’s go with your version of the story for one second though. If Ghost is so terrible, why would Seattle select him in the upcoming expansion draft?

Ghost is having a good season offensively. If not for injuries he’d likely be leading all defensemen on this team in points. All you have to do is compare last season to this season and you’d already see he has more points this season than last season in less games.

Each defenseman who is playing well or better than Myers has kept Myers out of the line up. Including Ghost.

In closing, as I’ve stated many times to you tonight, Ghost has never been good defensively. So what makes this season different? If you’re arguing that he’s having a bad season because he’s been bad defensively, well I have to ask you, when do you feel he’s ever had a good season to your standards? Because his defensive play has never been good.

Just saw the final score. This team has cancer no offense Lindblom.
The devils are a better team than the flyers.
Records be damned but you are getting smoked by a bad team.
So what does that make you?
It isn’t like the flyers are Tampa talented and had a bad playoff and got embarrassed.
Then went on to win the cup.
The flyers have not been good all year.
Even when they were winning they were not playing great.
Something is wrong with this team. The organizational culture is lost at this time.
I’m not so confident fletch can fix this.
I didn’t like him being hired to start and have really no confidence he can fix this.

Regardless...the organization is not in a very good place. At this point it really doesn’t matter who’s responsible just who’s going to fix it.

Ghost has 17 points in 38 games...that’s not good numbers for him, two years removed from a 65 point year. .How clueless are your comments? If not for his injuries ? And if my mother had a Richard she’d be my dad. My standards for a d man like ghost is closer to his 65 point season where by his play in his own zone is somewhat offset by his deficiencies....and despite your obvious vast knowledge do factor in to a players game. For most of this season he hasn’t even been the coaching staffs pick for the first pp unit....well you point out that Myers hasn’t been good, it has to be pretty telling to even someone like yourself that the Flyers will protect him over ghost in the upcoming draft. As far as Seattle taking a terrible guy maybe they hope they get the ghost of his first few years in the league...not the over paid plug he has become. Frankly it’s probably wishful thinking on my part that Seattle is that stupid. You can argue all you want about what a wonderful year Ghost has had, as it just shows me what you actually see when you watch...I simply don’t see what you do.

It was a story about a boy who thought they had intelligence, but then realized they were average, extremely average.
