Read the actual game day blog itself. I always give injury updates as of the morning of the game or at least the last update that was made available when we speak to AV or get an update via Chuck Fletcher.

Keyboard warrior in coming. Seriously bro, if you wanna ask me out, just ask. You don’t have have to keep attempting to push me off a swing set.

Lol what makes you think Morin can’t play? When he’s been in the lineup he’s been as good if not better than half the dmen on this team? It’s like you’re not even watching or know what to watch for lmao

Fun Fact of the day, Farabee is third in goal totals behind only Tkachuk and Svechnikov from the 2018 draft. Pretty good company for a 14th pick I think.

The most common mistake people always make, they based EVERYTHING off stats and not their actual play. Stats never tell the whole story. Someone has a 2 goal game...most say "They had a great game", but did they? Maybe one puck hits off their butt and goes in and the other the goalie plays it poorly, but the other part of the game their play is horrid defensively, maybe takes a bad penalty and is lackluster. Some fans look at the box score and say "What are you talking about they were the only one who showed up, they had 2 goals".

Just the guys I wanted to see.... if the flyers were smart they wouldn’t dress NAK another game. He’s had a horrible season and probably played himself out of expansion draft. God forbid he goes on a 10 game streak of playing well.

Bee will be fine. His confidence or lack of is showing. He was shooting anything that touched his stick early on. He has one of the best shots on the team and will be fine but confidence is low. I have no less optimism for him now than I did two months ago

Unfortunately, it's basically one long exhibition season: no Calder Cup playoffs, Phantoms division isn't playing a divisional playoffs, either.
- bmeltzer

Bill,
I saw you mention that the other day, which is really unfortunate because they have a pretty solid team this year and it would have been great for the kids to play some playoff hockey
Maybe and hopefully the rules change to allow younger players into the AHL as a natural progression in their profession.
But man it's fun to watch york work his effortless magic on the ice while foerester keeps lighting up the opposition. I think he may turn out better than expected with how fast his game has adapted to this level
Time will tell

And this is why I think we need to just go young, try and rid yourselves of Jake and jvr. The young guys are not ready to compliment this team and make us a contender. The organization failed plain and simple. It’s time to restart, we have a crop of young guys that in 4-5 years can maybe get going .
- ClaudeFather

To be honest I don't want to get rid of JVR. If he continues to play the way that he has this year he is worth every penny but if he regressed (although he exceeded expectations even though he played on a poop team) it would be a bad contract
I'm torn but I'd rather jake go. He won't commit to the defensive side of the puck

Bill...unfotunate but at least several young players had the opportunity to play at tge pro level. Foerster and Zamula have to give us hope. What was your analysis of Z with his big team stint?

I thought he played well -- wasn't intimidated to try to make plays with the puck, no glaring errors.

Looking for Known Agenda in the Run for the Roses. His win last month at the Florida Derby was very impressive and now he’s going home to the Bluegrass state. On the 1st post today, let’s do it.

That’s where I am for the moment. The only defenders I feel must stay, will likely be protected in the expansion draft. I like Morin because he’s a big and physical player. Is he perfect? No. However contending teams like the Capitals and Islanders do have big, physical guys, which I feel we’re sorely missing. Morin should cost next to nothing. It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if he’s a 6-7 defenseman and you do have to respect what it took to get back to play at this level. Ghost is having a really good year but he’s not very good defensively and if he doesn’t produce offensively, this makes him useless. Braun isn’t anything fantastic in my opinion. I’m hoping the defense is reshaped a little. I’m actually hoping Cam York doesn’t make the team right out of camp. I don’t want a fresh young player coming to this mess until after this defense has worked out it’s issues. Just a moron’s view.

No but we do need some guys to be there for the youth. Bee played well with jvr so that could be phenomenal for his growth going forward. When JVR scores usually people get assists. It's good to have someone who can score. Just my opinion. But if he goes he goes. I'm not tied to him I am just thinking about young beez, mostly

What was the rationale for sending him back down? I’m guessing they don’t want to contaminate him if he hangs around with the team for too long.

If you lose JvR, you have to replace him. In terms of net front presence, we’ve always had a replacement handy. LeClair was dominant in this department but we used a free buyout and signed Knuble. While we had Knuble, we traded for and signed Hartnell. I wanna say we drafted JvR that same summer. Next came Simmonds. Once Simmonds seemed broken down, we brought JvR back. Net front presence has been pretty consistent here. Does anyone think Isaac Ratcliffe is anywhere close? I don’t.
