Sandy looks good, like really good. He’s another solid trade deadline line addition they didn’t have to trade for.

Might be how they keep Hyman, by trading Rielly because Sandin and Loljebust can play.

I would be onboard with this. Id live with the growing pains of young guys on the back end.

Could get a first and good prospect for Rielly too.

Morgan’s in love. He isn’t the first, and won’t be the last to succumb to the powerful addiction. He’ll get over it, and next year he’ll be back to being in Norris conversations.

I feel like we’ve never come out of the growing stage with Rielly. It should be an easy transition.

Or at least gives the Leafs a little bargaining power in negotiations.

I hope the Leafs take a shot at signing Dougie Hamilton this summer. It would be a no brainer IMO.His bomb from the back end is exactly what this team is lacking.

He is what he is. A top d-man with some flaws in his game.

Letting Andersen walk and going with Campbell is way more then enough the resign Hyman. There would be no reason to trade Rielly unless it was to bring in a bigger fish.

Sign Hamilton, then trade Rielly.

No way I go into next season with Campbell as the starter. He hasn’t shown he can handle a full season. Let Rielly and Freddie go, pick up a starter (one of the Coyotes maybe), bring up Sandin, add some more D but forget a bidding war for the top guy. Think more along the lines of last summer - more Brodie and less Pietroangelo.

So alomar is a pos eh?

I have to admit I find it a little unsettling that a guy can lose his job and reputation without us knowing what the transgression was.

My guess is MLB made the right decision based upon evidence, but will we ever know for sure?

Transparency would be better here, IMO.

How does this happen and I'm not a Dermott hater and yes I know plus minus can't be trusted but. Brodie +23, Rielly +15, Muzzin +12, Holl +10, Bogosian +7, Dermott -2. All have played 45 games or more so that -2 sticks out a bit if the other five of your top six are big plus's. Plus I just noticed Sandn is a +6 in only three games, kids been impressive so far. Oh and Brodie is a (frank)in beast IMO.

Was he charged, went to court, been convicted is what I wanna know. Because until that has happened even if you are a complete douche bag, your still innocent until proven guilty. No employer has the right to publically chastise you until there is a formal conviction IMO.

Nope.

From a NY Times article:

For his part, Alomar wrote on Twitter that he was “disappointed, surprised, and upset,” but added, “With the current social climate, I understand why Major League Baseball has taken the position they have.”

He offered no admission or denial about the episode that compelled the league to act, but said he hoped that “this allegation can be heard in a venue that will allow me to address the accusation directly.”

And from same article:

“My client commends other baseball industry survivors who have come forward, and who helped her feel safer in sharing her own terrible and life-altering experience,” Lisa Banks of Katz, Marshall & Banks in Washington, who represents Alomar’s accuser, said in a statement.

“My client has no plans to file a lawsuit or take further action. She has not exposed Mr. Alomar’s behavior for notoriety or for money and looks forward to moving on with her life. She simply wants to ensure that Mr. Alomar is held accountable for his wrongdoing and hopes her actions can help Major League Baseball create a safer workplace for its employees.”

They did their own investigation. They found he violated their own workplace harassment policy.

So perhaps there is nothing to charge and convict him with?

MLB isn’t Alomar’s employer. They are saying they don’t want to have anything to do with him. The Jays have taken his banner and statue (I think it’s a statue out front) down. The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame which is a very small, clubby organization has said that they aren’t removing him but that he won’t be inviting him to any more events.

These are all actions if organizations that are simply cutting ties with someone they don’t want to have anything more to do with. No need for proof for that.

So in other words. MLB and the Blue Jays decided to be judge, jury and executioner to someone as of now is classified by law as completely innocent. Sounds to me to be a massive class action lawsuit in favour of Alomar even if he's a douche bag and in the end guilty.

They killed him? I thought they just decided they don’t to have anything to do with his scummy ass.

You should try to sue Ek next time you’re banned or some woman next time she decides she decided she doesn’t want you around her. Call Rudy G, I hear he’s good.
