My comment is dumb, the kid is playing 12 minutes a night. Why do you think that is?

This isn’t Not uncommon. Get back to me when he’s under double digits.

Here’s a question. What went right with the Flyers this year?

They validated my decision to not purchase Center Ice or NHL.TV.

Strange but their official elimination from playoff contention is somehow freeing. I can now concentrate on what I hope for next year without anger and emotion. Its been a long time since they were a force on special teams and this year was one of the worst. They need to do whatever it takes to improve. I believe its time to replace assistant coaches, the lack of practice time affects all teams and cannot be used as an excuse. This defensive core is much worse than the sum of its parts. By that I mean the individuals cannot figure out how to be efficient together and play as a cohesive unit. I don't think Myers and Sanheim were as bad as they looked. If they can't figure it out then somone has to go, they have both Zamula and York waiting in the wings. Goaltending is a mess. Hart needs someone to push him. Are any of the prospects ready to do that? If not there are 2 pretty good juniors who are thought of as 1st round draftables....stop buying goalies off the scratch and dent tack. Finally the forward group needs an overhaul. It just isn't working. I know they are in a tough spot with NMCs and salaries, but that why GMs get paid what they do...Fletch get it done

It’s called development.
- SuperSchennBros

So develop him. If he's still out there this summer, sign him to an AHL deal. If not, then best of luck kid.

Feel free to give your analyst on Philip Myers.
- SuperSchennBros

Myers has actually played well in the AHL and NHL before. Sam hasn't.

Not sure Sullivan had his choice of assistants like AV did. He inherited Jacques Martin, and Recchi, Gonchar were promoted by the team from within.
- Tomahawk

Yeah, that's the troubling part here....AV has spoken about how he's close friends with Therrien and how he had him pegged for his staff, long before he even returned to hockey. He also raved about both assistants experience as head coaches, so they know exactly what's needed as assistants etc. It would be insulting to AV if his guy's are fired. He's not the type to ever admit to making poor choices. It will have to be all or none.....Which it should be, as this year has been chalk full of the same kind of choices AV was making in NY and VAN that he received heavy criticism for, and ultimately led to his dismissal.

There's been enough excuses thrown around this year though that they'll get another year. If Fletcher makes changes to the roster, that potentially buys them another season too, then you're nearing the end of AV'S deal anyways.

i'll be so angry if his play is as bad next season. you can't sign that deal and be nonexistent after the first year.

The seasons over, the guys frustrated. This organization has wasted his whole career.

- JVR's return to relevance,
- Farabee's early coming out party,
- NP and Oskar surviving the entire season (more or less),
- Ghost getting healthy and turning a corner,
- Taryn turned out to be pretty good in the studio,
- Laughts could finally unpack his suitcase.

That's all I got.

I think that’s the route they take. He will wait to see if offered a contract. But have no issues with a two way deal. Can be the 8 th d man but prob will be with the phantoms.

I am trying to figure out the expansion draft and hear lots of players the board feels the Kraken should take (rose glasses), but why wouldn't they take a guy like NAK instead of the bloated contracts we have?

I knew this team wouldn't make the playoffs, over a month ago. If they don't get rid of Voracek's overpaid rearend, upgrade the defense to help Carter Hart and get more size, and skill up front, I'll be done with this team next season. I won't watch. Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result. This is what the Flyers organization has become. Note to Comcast, Holmgren, Scott and the others. I, for one, am tired of the da*ned entertainment gimmicks like Gritty, Gritette and now I guess...what...the Gritty additions to the family are next? Improve the lousy damned product on the ice by bringing in better players! They weren't just bad this year, they were dull as hell. If Giroux demands to be traded if Voracek is (hopefully ASAP), then bye Claude. Stupid contracts to overrated players...the Flyers organizational mantra. Change it.

All depends on them and what their model is. If they want to be a little more competitive at first. Reach the cap floor, maybe have a known name to help sell tickets. Guessing they stockpile d men to sell off. Also all just speculation. Until teams submit who they are protecting its all up in the air. NAK could go, but they will have better or proven depth players to choose from.

But again I am just guessing.

Kraken are going to do the same thing that Vegas did, and that's find effective players that have the possibility of breaking out. If that means taking on a bloated contract to get an extra 1st rounder down the road, they'd do it. I don't think NAK offers much for an expansion team though. I could see the Kraken taking Voracek or JVR and a 1st instead.

Why would the Flyers give away a first and lose the players you listed? Who would they be protecting at that point?
