My wife had subscribed to some group that was just crazy. We're out by Hamilton. It's just sharing stuff in Scarborough, Barrie, Woodbridge, Whitby, Toronto (as well as nearby in Burlington or Hamilton or whatever) . . . _constantly_. "This pharmacy has 100 doses to the first available", "This pharmacy has 600 doses", "This place has 30 doses" . . .
She says it doesn't stop going off. Maybe something a little more geographically relevant would be useful! - Monkeypunk
it was reported in media that Hamilton has adapted an 'interesting' prio strategy for the vaccines.. is that true? |

they look like a decent team, hope they get in
Also..The Leafs have a positive goal dif against every team - senstroll
That's because it likely means that the Bruins wouldn't get in. Not that we're all petty or anything.
. . . but with 4 points to catch up and 2 more games played, it's going to be nearly impossible. If the Rangers go 6-0 to run the table in their final games, the Bruins would need to go 4-4 to beat them out (they play Buffalo twice and Jersey twice). The Islanders would have to go 3-3-1 in their final games to beat them out (they ALSO play Buffalo twice and Jersey twice). The Penguins would have to go 1-4-1, and they play Buffalo twice. Washington would have to go 1-6, but they do play the hardest teams. |

maybe some foresight and planning by the province...so Bob from Oakvile doesnt have to fire up a twitter account to help people get vaccinated - senstroll
Listen. I think we've all come to understand what we can expect from the government here. That's very little. And when you expect at least the very little, they give you less.
I had commented recently that I'm not sure when the next elections come up if ANY incumbent at the provincial or federal level wins the next election regardless of their party affiliation, given how poorly they've managed this across the entire country. |

We landscaped the backyard a few years ago - no grass.
Best franking move I have ever done. - Atomic Wedgie
I put sod down after moving in 9 years ago. Last 4 years have been a constant battle against crab grass and clover. Next door neighbour and I spoke last fall as we share a front lawn and are going full hardscape with pocket gardens in a couple weeks. Drawings done, quotes received just waiting for a date. Can't (frank)ing wait.
Back yard grass is doing well still. Veggie garden bed ready to go with compost added from our own composter. Need to clear out some old stuff from the perennial gardens, pop in some annuals into pots then sit back and enjoy. |

You can play corn hole without a lawn.
Truth be told, we never had much of a lawn - waaaaaaaay too shady.
I think we laid sod 3 times over about 15 years.
First year looks great, and then it went downhill from there.
And I got tired of going to war with the raccoons rolling up the sod every night. - Atomic Wedgie
Too much shade from too many cedars so very acidic but I’ll keep my little bit of patchy lawn |

I don't know if you're referring to the strategy that prioritizes black and ethnic neighbourhoods. It would be good if they would stop politicizing and pandering. I am all for recognizing that there are less affluent neighbourhoods and areas that require people to go to work and place themselves at risk because the CERB or EI or what-have-you isn't helping them enough, and I think prioritizing those people as at-risk individuals is perfectly fine. I'd rather not make it about race or anything else, since that's not really an objective measure of why people are at risk or not. But . . . whatever. Hamilton isn't particularly well run. |

At least it sounds like he's out of danger.
It might affect his NHL career... but being alive is what's most important.

I just assembled my Vegepod - 3x6 raised garden bed. My whole back is so landscaped that I don’t really have space. Have all kinds of goodies - Roma, lettuce, cucumbers to transplant. |

Marco Rossi - AdamFrench
https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/2162378
Complications from COVID-19 nearly took Marco Rossi's life. The Minnesota Wild prospect opened up about his severe health battle on Tuesday.
The 2020 ninth overall pick contracted COVID-19 in November while with the ZSC Lions of the Swiss League. Rossi's symptoms were only mild at the time, so following his quarantine, he was cleared to play in the world juniors. Fortunately for him, Austria was eliminated from the tournament in four games.
"The doctors told me if I played one more game in the World Junior Championship, this could have ended completely different," Rossi told The Athletic's Michael Russo. "I’m thankful to God that he supported me. … I’m just happy that I’m still alive."
Seems weird that God would fix games so Austria was eliminated in four games.

Except it's not prioritizing the neighbourhoods.
It's prioritizing people based on skin colour. |

It’s blacks and other minorities in certain neighborhoods. Also, blacks and the other targeted groups represent 19% of the population but 51% of the cases |
